I'm still in school, chronically ill and the doctors don't believe me

I am giving up at the moment, I am still in school and I feel sick everyday. I wake up feeling unrefreshed, tired and have chronic pain behind my eyes. By night I cannot sleep. Sometimes I have to wear sunglasses indoors and outdoors because the pain is unbearable. It's on going pattern. My parents say that it's all in my head, but I know it's not and now it's getting to a point where I just don't know what to do anymore. I also frequently get migraines behind my eyes and have since a very young age. I am vegetarian but have had testing and now taking multiple supplements. It's on going pattern. I also tend to get nightmares and have sleeping problems. I have had medical conditions in the past and I am pretty prone to getting sick. I have had helicobacter pylori, stomach ulcers, appendicitis, swine flu, glandular fever. I also feel very weak and tend to tremble alot and now I have no motivation to do anything what so ever. The doctors think I am a hypochondriac because of all the illnesses I have had in the last six years, and don't believe something is wrong. If anyone can relate to how I am feeling it will be very helpful

Perhaps a sleep test would be a good idea. You may have Sleep Apnea. It can cause what you describe.

Hi maddison28065, I was very very sick when I was young. It's just normal for youth to get ill they would say. I am not a doctor for sure so definitely don't know exactly what is wrong. Have your parents taken you to a different doctor just to get a second opinion. You probably have a little depression. Sounds like it. I know I would. You could have an illness that you can't necessarily see, invisible kind and all you need is for someone to believe you. You gave examples of illnesses you have had prior and its got to be hard if you are hurting and no one believes you. Do you have a counselor at school that you could talk to and might be able to help you figure out what you could do? I hope you get all of this resolved soon so you can enjoy your youth and not be sick all the time. Be patient sometimes this kind of stuff takes time to figure out. Hang in there.

Have you had your eyes tested Maddison?  Or seen an ophthalmologist? Are you the right weight for your age? Trrembling a lot can mean your body is needing food. Is your vegetarian diet very restrictive?   I also wonder if you need some counselling so that you can talk to someone who doesnt judge you as a hypochondriac.

I'm thinking you are female. Have your periods started and are they regular? Are they heavy?
