Hi Dorothy, I too get extremely tired off and on. Its usually after I've pushed myself too much. Trying to return to 'normal' too quickly. I find the best days are a mix of taking it easy when tired and activity when I feel ok. Ironically I seem to feel worse if I spend a whole day doing little. I'm 10 weeks post pe and this week is the best yet. I think it's because at last I'm listening to my body?! Hope that helps x

Thanks cathy I think I'm too impatient, even going out with friends I have to check there are seats nearby so I can stop when needed as it comes on quite suddenly, seeing a chest specialist in June about mypE so will ask him if it's normal, or is it just me

Hello I am 8 week post PE and am still having major problems with my asthma ( although it is under control but if I do the Peak flow then I'm in trouble) I am still very fatigued but I also have severe ME which has gotten worse since the PE it seems to me that to recover from a PE takes quite a lot of time. I unfortunately cannot push myself anymore and have spent most of the 8 weeks on the sofa!

I am  I am 6 weeks post PE and I too have asthma, in fact I mistook the symptoms of the PE for a asthma attack although it had been well under control for years, luckily a scan confirmed a PE, my peak flow readings aren't good, but depends what's normal for you, I too suffer from fatigue and can't walk far without sitting down hoping this will improve with time, give your body a chance, I am impatient, but have learnt to slow down, take care.x

Hi Dorothy, I am five years post multiple PE's (twice). I felt acutely unwell for a few years. I still get overwhelming fatigue but I think it's due to my MS and not the PE's.  Your fatigue is not nice but normal. I hope it resolves soon. Sending you good vibes. X
