sometimes it can be so hard to recognize if you have herpes or not because some people have outbreaks that dont look exactly like what some would consider a traditional outbreak. It is weird you've had them for a while with no pain or blisters. Usually with an outbreak the bumps or lesions will scab over & you'll experience flu like symptoms. Im not a professional and im just throwing my thoughts out there, so i could be wrong. One thing i wouldn't take lightly is the fact that you do have bumps and something is going on.To answer you're question, I think theres a strong possibility its herpes. I would definetely get it checked out by a professional, either way if it is something you might get a prescription to clear it up(if it isnt herpes) or you can get the right treatment on how to deal/cope with it if it is. If you are diagnosed, its not a death sentence. 1 in 3 people have it & it can lay dormant for years with someone having just one outbreak. So in situations like this, it always helps to have forums like these where you can vent or ask questions & not having the pressure of being judged. I hope everything works out for you, but know, regardless, you have a supportive community here you can always turn to.

the thing is i am nearly almost sure ive had these since before i even began having sex. they dont flare up like herpes does nor change at all never blister/burst/scab or hurt or itch theyre just there. thats why im unsure whether it is herpes. theyre just sort of always scattered about the inside of my vagina and are only really noticeable if i stretch or pull the skin apart.

im going to make a sexual health appointment to get it checked out but im hoping its just fordyce spots.

thank you for your help 😃

I don't think that's herpes. You should definitely go to your doctor though.

There's nothing at all to be concerned about, and no need to go to the doctor. What you have are called fordyce spots. They're not herpes, nor any infection or disease. They're incredibly common and again, not indicative of any issue.

i am hoping this is the case, i googled fordyce spots and they look very similar. i am 95% sure ive had these since before i even began having sex. and they do not flare up as herpes is said to, nor burst/blister/scab.
