I'm looking for information on this lens. Anyone out there that had been using this lens for 6 months or more?

      thanks soks

jeff i just had surgery right eye wednesday Oct 23 . Today I saw my surgeon to thank him for the successful choice and clean operation (I had a posterior subcapsulated cataract. I did feel removal eek). I selected near vision and he chose 1.5. Thanks to soks and others I realize now near sighted can be many more inches from face and not necessarily the tiniest print. I am waiting @2months before doing the 2nd eye. He thinks I might prefer nearer on 2nd eye of 2. He says it isnt an exact science and my reading is fine how the eye is settling. With astigmatism there is wiggle room how near or far onr might get. The lens itself is fine; my surgeon operates 2 days a week on cataracts totaling almost 60000 cataract surgeries and he chose the lens so hopefully you feel secure in your choice Most people select far vision using reading glasses for near.

Rereading I see how that reads as nearer of second eye Ofcourse it is of 2; I meant a toric lens with correction of 2. I asked if there was 1.75 and there was but he said difference would be miniscule . The most important part for you is choosing your vision change or keeping your excellent vision if that is your case. You chose a focal point.

I have that lens and I do not recommend it. I am bothered by huge night-time issues like starburst, halos and glare. The same as in case of Symfony.

I feel like my life is destroyed and am probably going to have it exchanged.

    I hate that lens.

Have you tried the drops that constrict the pupils?

@Deb03 Yes, and hereby I declare myself a masochist as I do constrict my pupil everyday. Can't stand it, can't live without it either.

    Hi All,

    .

Any other experiences good, bad or indifferent with the Tecnis ZCB00 or even the newer Eyhance ICB00?

    .

I'm considering making a last minute change to one of these IOL for my Mini-Monovision surgery next week!

    .

Originally I was considering the Zeiss Asphina, however after my surgeon advised that they are 5 times more likely to result in PCO and YAG-LCT a lot sooner than the Tecnis IOL (1 in 2 vs 1 in 10 and 3 vs 5 years) I'm now leaning heavily towards the Tecnis Monofocals! This seems to be backed up by studies online too (see PMCID: PMC6899841) 😮

    .

Any knowledge, real world experiences or other data on these Tecnis IOL would be greatly appreciated.

    .

    Regards,

    .

    DonD

Tecnis monofocal toric: Im now 4 months in with right eye and 2 months in with left eye. I have no night glare or other issues other than everything on sunny days seems very very bright. I think many here mention extreme brightness with all new IOLs. My last visit to check left eye resulted in optometrist saying very early PCO that might never bother me... or might eventually.

i went with tecnis symfony instead of zeiss lara to avoid PCO. massive PCO by 10 months. if i could go back i would get zeiss lara. i feel (not scientifically backed) the large plate haptics are better when you YAG a large in the capsule for support. good luck.
