I need help... Bartholin cyst

Hi.. I need some help.. I have been googling back and forth for days with no results . I'm current 21 and have a very small bartholin cyst... Like small marble size.. It's been almost a week and it hasn't shown signs of going away.. I am really worried because I have had one before on the same spot and it was the worst pain I have ever experienced.. It isn't getting bigger either but I definitely want it gone... Like now.... So I've been trying to Google how I would know if it was draining or not.. And if I can take normal hot baths with out adding stuff to it... Or what can I do to get rid of the tiny pest... Anything.. Any home remedy or anything I can do from home... Please.....

Try sitz baths with sea salt, warm compresses, and wear loose pants. In my experience adding too many concoctions can hurt rather than help--topical remedies just irritated me and made it worse. There are supplements you could try, Silica and Serrapeptase. However I see those as more of a preventative method that may or may not work for you. By the time I started taking them I think it was too late. No topical remedy or supplement worked for me. Baths helped the first time when mine was tiny. This time I let it go for too long and ended up in the ER. They lanced it improperly and the gyno had to lance it again and insert a catheter. If it's getting larger and especially if it's becoming painful and tender make an appointment. I wish I had sooner.

I've been doing the baths with Epsom salts... So far no change in the size.. But no at least it isn't getting bigger.. I think maybe because of the baths.. I can't exactly bath several times a day as I am barely home. But I will try that thanks.. Will wear loose pants when ever I'm home.. Unfortunately I don't have any lose underwear otherwise I'd wear lose pants for work too.. It's hard being a woman.. My first time I took too long as well.. Thought nothing of it because I usually got them and they went away.. No pain.. No growth.. But then it got bigger and bigger and hurt like a mother... Couldn't move for 2 weeks and eventually had it cut and drained.. Why do men not have as many issues as us?????

I got a portable sitz bath you put over your toilet so you don't have to take a full on bath every time which makes it easier. It's good it's not getting bigger but just be careful if it gets painful again. I just got home from having my catheter out today.

Oh shame hope everything is ok now.. I didn't even know I can get such a thing.. Doubt I'd be able to get one tho.. Will have to see... Would be more convenient if I didn't have to bath 15 times a day.. Thanks for the help.. Get well soon

Thanks, I hope things get better too. It's possible you could get a catheter if it's big enough, it stays in to drain the fluid out and as it heals creates an area for the gland to continue to drain. It was annoying to have but not too painful. The numbing shot for the lancing was the worst.

Wow that sounds heavy.. Shame man... I don't want that so I tried to stop this one in it's tracks.. It is now getting even smaller.. So I'm happy.. It's just happening very slowly

Hey Kayla,
You're not alone. first things first, make sure you're doing sitz baths which is an epson salt soak of the area with warm water. you might beed to get a site bath tub from shopper drug mart. You'll know if it drains, it often feels like you wet yourself but the fluid is white/clear and thick.
Do not take full baths as you may introduce bacteria from you body that could cause an infection or make it worse thats why sits baths are so important.
Sometimes what happens is when you get a BC the gland wall starts to thicken as well. this can make it more prone to not draining or becoming an abscess.
Unfortunately, it seems like they maybe reoccurring. you should make an appointment with a Gynaecologist. If the area started to get infected (the labia wells, the BC cyst get really painful) and you can't get an appointment then go to emergency and they will lance it and put in a lube which you should try to keep in for 3 weeks. This will allow the gland to heal and lower your risk of reoccurrence.
Let me know if you need any more help or additional information.
