I need help!!! had EVLT but after 6 months varicose still there

Hey guys! So last Feb this year I had an EVLT on my right legs coz according to the doctor based on the test (forgot the term)  the veins on both my legs are leaking so he have to do the Entrovenous laser treatment so that the varicose veins will stop popping out.  So we did it. The right leg first,  it went well, didn't feel any pain during the procedure except for my wallet. Man its expensive but I thoigjt its ok as long as its effective. He informed me about the after care which I followed. 2 weeks after I notice the bsck of my right leg is swollen and tender, I went there and he said there is a clot of he drained it. I didn't even went through for the sclerotherapy which I wanted in the first place. Now my problem is after 6 months there are still some varicose veins popping out and as well as spider veins. The doctor assure d me that it won't come out anymore coz the EVLT help closed the leak. But how come its still there and new varicose and spider veins coming out? I am so disappointed and depressed. I feel like I was hustled! What a rip off. Does anybody out there have the same problem? What did u do about it?  Please if sny of u experienxe it care to share it to me. Thanks for reading and hope to read a response.

You're not alone reb....I'm on my fifth month of constant burning and discomfort in both legs after having ablation therapy vein treatment.  My doctor told me to give it time!!!???  I still can't stand for a normal period of time without having to find a place to sit down, although my legs do feel stronger when I walk.  I had the spider veins zapped and I'm pretty happy with the results from that, it was extra money and separate from the varicose vein treatment.  If you are experiencing alot of burning, I've found that massaging my legs really really hard with aloe vera gel with Lidocaine in it relieves it really well.... for a while anyway.  I hope this helps.

Thank you linda for sharing your thoughts and experience. I really feel bad and disappointed coz at first I came to the doctor for a sclerotherapy but he suggested to do endovenous laser treatment to close the leaking nerves so I agreed on it coz I know what he is talking about. I was happy also because of his assurance that it will appear again but then lately I realize new varicose veins is coming out and spider veins as well even the old ones. It became worst than before. According to other doctors I should go back and let the doctor check it out it could be an equipment default or from the operator and shoukd be treated again with no charge.  So that's what I'm going to do. I won't keep paying for something that wasn't effective.  And hoping that there's no any other underlying problem with my veins

I'm pretty disappointed so far.  I talked to several people who had the same procedure before I had it done, and they all told me "you're not going to believe how good your legs are going to feel"....well I can't believe how BAD they feel.  They didn't have any of these side effects I'm having, even the doctor doesn't know what's wrong.  You didn't say if you are experiencing a horrible burning sensation all over your legs.  It feels like jelly fish are stinging them all over....and it comes and goes.   Keep me posted on your progress, and best of luck!

You need to have ultrasound guided sclerotherapy.  I hope this was a dedicated vein practice.

I had EVLT two years ago and like you I am very disappointed with the results.

I was told it would be at least 10 years before I would need further treatment but gradually new veins are appearing and am back to square one.

I paid privately for the procedure and feel totally ripped off, it's not a miracle cure.
