I need help please!

I've looked several websites for depression and i have all symptoms Iv'e done many tests and they all say "severe depression" im only 13, i have panic attack, i self harm, my life is very s**t, my step dad abused me as a child, this year has been the worst for me, im 99% sure i have some sort of depression and anxiety, but i don't have it diagnosed, i don't want to go to the docters because ill need my mum to help with that and she has no idea about everything, and i know she'll won't know how to handle this, all my friends think its a trend, they self diagnose and brag, they do things for attention and i can tell, if they actually were depressed you wouldnt brag about cutting, i just need advice and help please

    I'm sorry that you have to go through this. I hope you get professional help soon but in the meantime, try meditation. It has helped me with my anxiety. Also keep yourself busy with studying or some sort of hobby or skill. Studying hard keeps you occupied and also improves your grades and gives you self confidence. plus it gives you more options later in life like going to better college or getting scolarships and such. Also, do not use social media too much cause you probably end up comparing yourself to others and feel hopeless.

    Other important thing is to never starve yourself. Eat 3 meals so that you have enough energy and focus.

    Talk to someone about your feelings that will help you a lot. Do things that you enjoy like listening to music, painting or writing. Get 8 hours of sleep everyday and try to sleep at same time and wake up at same time. This things will help you a lot to deal with depression.
