Hi I'm a 25 year old woman whom is now very desperate for some guidance/help.
Since January 2020 i have been having heavier and more painful periods which has progressively got worse over the months and i had been experiencing more symptoms such as nausea, lower back pain, bloating, extreme tiredness, dizziness, painful sex at times, pain passing urine/stool, blood in stool, constipation. i have tried cocodamol which doesnt touch the pain and naproxen which i had a bad reaction to whereby i was so dizzy and had heartburn so i stopped taking that..
I had an transvaginal ultra sound scan which the lady picked up that my left ovary wasnt moving like it should - suspected it was adhesions.. so i was referred to gynaecology were they investigated further and suggested an mirena coil to manage the symptoms which i felt wasnt right for me since it more of the physical pain that was disrupting my day to day life more than the bleed itself.. so he arranged for me for a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy for suspected endometriosis. both my sisters have been diagnosed with it so i did suspect this could be what i have.. before the surgery, i had acute appendicitis in September which i had to have keyhole surgery. Now seemingly i thought maybe this could be why i have not been feeling unwell but things still didnt change with my symptoms... had the surgery yesterday and they have found nothing! everything seemed to be fine! i have now been referred to urology which they will investigate further into this mystery which has left me feeling so deflated and upset as i feel i am back at the drawing board!
this is affecting my work/life now and im in pain 2/3 weeks in a month!
should i stick through with going to urology or seek a second opinion?? or could it be something else?
any input from you will be appreciated!
Thank you

Have you had any children? This does sound like pelvic floor dysfunction where the muscles in the pelvic floor are struggling to support the organs in the area. The mirena coil may have helped you, or do you take any sort of oral contraception? Sometimes that can help.
Yes,do get the urology assessments done...it may be your bladder thats the main cause but its wise to rule it out anyway.
The answer may be a referral to a pelvic floor specialist who can work with you with exercises that may help.
perhaps a ct scan or MRI of your pelvic area would be enlightening. Hope you get some answers soon.

Hi Marina,
thank you for your reply! No children - but plan to in the future.
i currently take the mini pill which i started over a month ago since the implant wasnt right for me. Still in pain.. just no bleed..
right im going to go through with it then and get a CT scan done.
Just felt so helpless yesterday and i really appreciate your reply! Thank you again x
