Morning everyone . On the 12th January I went down from 12.5 to 10 and I have been absolutely fine until yesterday morning when I woke with a little pain in one of my legs but not the other one ( polymyalgia is normally on both sides ) then this morning I woke with a pain in the back of my neck right in the centre I used to have similar pain when I was first diagnosed with polymyalgia. But there is no stiffness ,so has anything similar happened to anyone els, and unsure what to do. Thank you Xx

It was about the only time I had a flare.....going from 12.5 to 10. I went back up to 12.5 for a week or so and then went to 11mg which worked for me. The 2.5 was too big a drop. I hope you can get on top of the flare quickly.

I seem to hit that same wall each time I try to get to around 10 mg.

Start over at the last effective dose and then, after it is under control, try tapering again in smaller increments.

    Good luck.

That's your body telling you you are the right place - when you get to 1/2mg above, stop there for 2 or 3 months. Then try again. It is amazing what a difference that can make, not allowing a flare to start at all.
