Morning  hippies everywhere!

It's a glorious sunny morning here in North Warwickshre UK and so glad to be pain free and able to enjoy the day

I am 4.5 weeks post op and doing great. No pain day or night now, just a few aches and niggles but compared with dreadful arthritic pain I can easily put up with that

Last night was the first night I had a decent night's sleep- probably only awake for an hour - I had forgotten what sleep was like!

Every day there seems to be a little improvement, so all you new hippies out there in your early days post op, you will come on in leaps and bounds as the days go by.

On one crutch mostly now but do take a few steps without it round the house

Sometimes I forget, when I've put crutch to one side to wash up and just start to walk off, but if I have to think about walking without crutch then I feel a little wobbly. All early days and I know this will get better each day

No pain meds now, just occasionally, and without the pain I am starting to look so much better friends have commented on how well I look

Using bio oil on scar which is starting to fade

Doing lots of walking - not as much exercising as I should but joint is very mobile so I am not too worried

Off to see consultant next week - another milestone and hopefully some restrictions will be lifted

Hope you are all feeling bright this morning-every day is a new one for us all and I hope today will be a good one for you

kindest wishes Linda xx

Hi Linda .... ooo what a great feeling it must be to have slept for hours on end .... I think I am fortunate that I was able to sleep okay right after surgery ...even in this weird boxed-in bed ... the laying on the side might have helped -- very early mornings still but that;s okay -

have a wonderful continuation of this day !!

    big hug

    renee
