I suffer from health anxiety and I'm terrified I have cervical or ovarian cancer

I'm a 25 y/o female on the progesterone only pill. I have always had pelvic pain during intercourse but it's something I've just assumed I had to put up with. 3 weeks ago I bled a very tiny amount (2 drops max) after intercourse and a couple of days later it happened again but a much smaller amount. Nothing happened for a few weeks until on Monday I thought I had come on my period but it seemed to be just spotting. I know both of these things are often not serious but I've never bled after sex or had spotting before.

I went to my GP today who did a pelvic exam and said everything looked and felt normal but she has referred me for an ultrasound scan in a few weeks. I know there's a lot of other conditions that can cause these things (pelvic pain, bleeding after sex, spotting) but I'm now very scared that I'll be diagnosed with cervical or ovarian cancer.

Has anyone else had any symptoms like this or can anyone offer advice?

Thank you

Sorry - I should have mentioned that I've been on the POP for around 4 years now

Cervical or ovarian cancer is not that common that your fearing it.

There can be cysts or torsion in ovary or uterian fibroids, dysmenorrhea,  and many other conditions/infections that can cause your pain.

Have a read up about endometriosis- could be what you are suffering. I only in the last 2 years have began experiencing extremely painful sex and for at least a year before i was skipping my periods so for me i did not believe in this diagnosis but if you were experiencing painful sex since the beginning it could be likely you suffer from it..
