I'm so sorry you have to go through this, Shaun. Luckily I only have a very mild case of IBS (probably isn't even the right diagnosis) but there are patients on this forum who have just as debilitating symptoms as you have. I can imagine how this is affecting your quality of life.
I'm sure someone who is knowledgeable about this will respond soon. The only thing I've done, that DEFINITELY has helped a great deal, is to take an OTC pill called IBGard. It has really been very much worth it.
Hang in
there and I know you'll get a more thorough response soon.

I have left rib pain under it a pressure pain bloating flatulence it's there 24/7 too. I had a scan this afternoon it's worse after I eat, finding it hard to rest in bed at night due to heavy pressure when I breathe in it also hurts I have to wait 7/10 days for results when the lady was doing the scan she said pancreas to the other lady sitting down. So I've got in my head it's a pancreas problem I'm hoping not pancreatis

She may have said 'pancreas' to her assistant simply to tell her that she had scanned it so she could note down what organs she had checked. Don't worry, everyone worries about their pancreas when they have stomach pain. I did too after my scan so I asked my doctor straight out about it. I was immediately reassured that nothing was wrong. In the end I was diagnosed with IBS.
Ask your doctor about your pancreas for reassurance.

After going to the doctor heaps, getting all the tests done, and nothing showing up, I went to the dietitian and she put me on a "low fodmap" diet. It's been 2 weeks now, but I think I'm finally adjusting to it and it's starting to help. It might be worth talking to a dietitian.
