I suspect I may have nasal polyps.

I had been suffering with daily headaches that came on every afternoon for over a year. The headaches started when I had a bad cold followed by bronchitis. I also suffer from high blood pressure and initially it seemed as though the headaches might have coincided with a change in my bp medications. Another symptom was severe pain in one side of my head (usually around my left eye socket or brow) when I sneezed. The daily headaches have slowly disappeared and after nearly 18 months have subsided. Now I just get the pain when I sneeze, but even this seems to have subsided quite a bit. However, my wife noticed a while back that my snoring had got a lot worse. I started using nasal strips at night and immediately felt like I was sleeping better, my snoring improved as well. I've been using the strips for a few months now but my snoring is getting worse again. Often just as I'm drifting off I wake myself up with a snore. Recently I've been feeling discomfort in my nose. My left nostril feels like it has an obstruction in it, at first I thought it was dry mucas, but I can't seem to clear it. My nose is often blocked and I think I've had a reduced sense of smell on occasions. I'm going to my GP to see what she says.

In the meantime I've been searchin gon the Internet (where I found this forum!) and I found a product called Sinus Buster. It's some sort of natural pepper spray which is supposed to be very good. Has anyone tried this?

It sound like you could have the nasal polyp’s condition as it’s very similar to how i feel. I have used a steroid spray for years and have even undergone surgery to straighten the nose and remove the polyps.

However my worst experience is when I consume any amount of anything alcoholic. On contact, the alcohol seems to make my nose fill up with snot/mucus which cannot be removed. Often I have to breathe fully through my mouth. As you can imagine this causes great discomfort. I have also recently tried a Chinese medicine course. I do think it was slightly beneficial, giving some comfort although the problem is still very much with me once I drink any alcohol. I avoid alcohol most of the time but just can’t resist at times such as Friday night. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear from you.
