I think I double dosed my prednisone tonight...has anyone done this?

Hi.

ive been weaning off the prednisone for PMR.   Down to 13.5 from 20 mg.   4 months!   I’m taking 7 mg in am and 6.5 in pm.... decreasing .5 mg per week.

tonight I think I took the 6.5 twice.....not sure by I’m an idiot with this prednisone 

has anyone done this..don’t know what to do

    Unlike many medications this is not likely to do you any harm.  Just enjoy feeling particularly well for the next day or so, and take your usual dose at your usual time.  Don't skip any doses.

    Hi Nancy, not exactly but close. Don't worry about it just return to tapering schedule. Good luck on your journey, don't rush it it's not a race. ??

    Don’t worry! Just st regular dose tomorrow, or next time you you would regularly take your pills.

    Everyone will have either double dosed or forgotten a dose at some point - and believe me the former is preferable to the latter!!!

    Just go back to the normal dose tomorrow and enjoy the boost for today!

    I have never double dosed but I have forgotten a dose, that is really bad news and never to be repeated although I did, but once only, double dosing is much more pleasant!!
