I think I forgot to take my citalapram

Hi, I've been on Citalopram for nine months, twice in the last week I think I have forgotten to take it . I usually take it a night. Yesterday I had been for my  bee allergy injection which sometimes makes me feel a bit weird afterwards so yesterday afternoon I put my feeling unwell down to this. Then during the night I felt very unwell, panicky, skin burning, weird feelings in my muscles all the old familiar anxiety feelings and then couldn't remember if I'd taken my tablet. I know I deco forgot it on Monday night. I'm on 20mg. Could I be having withdrawals from just missing these two? I'm wondering if I should take half this morning and half later ?

Hi, i would suggest just carrying on taking your tablets as you normally do and forget about the ones you may have missed.  Citalopram stays in your system for over 30 hours so you should be fine.

We must be careful as we are not Doctors so do not know the ins and outs of these drugs. However I have been on 40 mg Celexa for years and have forgotten to take it several times. I notice nothing for about 3 days then maybe feel a bit jumpt, it not until say a week that I start to feel a bit down again.

I would not worry at all about missing a dose or two just get back on as soon as possible.

I often think that we worry so much about everything (that is why we are on this stuff) that we make it worse for ourselves.

The feelings you had I can manifest by just thinking about them. Believe it of not I can make myself faint just by thinking about having my blood taken. Wierd but I have always been like it.

Thanks Peter, it maybe that I have a bug but as usual any physical discomfort I feel I always presume it's my anxiety kicking in ....which then because I have thought about it brings in the symptoms anyway.

I got one of those pill boxes with compartments for each day of the week and once a week I put a week's worth of my Citalopram out in it then I can tell if I remembered to take it or not.
