Okay, so I wanted to ask if it sounds like I had a T.I.A stroke.

So, I went out with a friend and they convinced me to try ICE. At first I was completely fine, just zoned out on my phone. Well about 30-40 minutes later my entire left side went numb and my head started pounding and there was this ringing in my ears that kept getting louder and louder! Then my face went numb and my body felt paralyzed, I had literally no control over even part of my body, well then like my eye sight started going completely blurred.. I could still hear everything around me but everything sounded like a loud concert when you're standing close to the speaker box thing.. I didn't go to the ER or anything for it and it lasted about 15 minutes. I did research and it sounds like a ministroke but I wanted a second opinion... Honestly going to the doctor and having to explain "YEAH I totally used drugs and this happened can you fix me" may I mind you that was the first and only time I've used.. oh and I'm 23 not sure if that helps or whatever. Thanks in advance.

I don't know if you've had a mini stroke or not, but you do need to see a Dr, it's just not worth risking not seeing one. Remember, Dr's have undertaken an oath, they're duty bound to protect your privacy, so you can very safely tell a Dr what you need to. See one, be clear about the fact you've taken taken a drug, it's important for them to have ALL the facts. Many people have taken drugs, God knows I'm not suggesting taking them, I'm just saying that Dr's see this sort of thing all the time.

I'm sure I don't need to say it, but I'm going to any way (I'm a mum, I'm allowed): clearly, you should avoid drugs in the future, please be kind to your body!

    Take care.

    Hi amber60166,

I'd be advising you to go to your doctor immediately because regardless if you have only a used  drug once , even if it was just once, you just never know. From what you have explained you maybe experiencing what they call  "coming down "  where the ice has reached it's point and now your body is paying for it, it only takes that "once "

Here's what have found out about ice

many patiens present to the emergency room with stroe like symptoms.

"It's kind of a Benjamin Button type drug so… [you could] see a stroke or aortic dissection in someone using ice in their 20s or 30s,"

Also I have known a couple of people that have been drug addicts and have actually had strokes caused by their drug abuse ( I realise you stated this was your first and only time ), I'm not judging you but the warnings are out there about recreational drugs and what they can do to you.

yes, I  used to work as a Specialist Stroke Nurse then Nurse Practitioner in Stroke and have seen 2 "Coke Strokes" both in 20 somethings. People taking all this rubbish are putting such a strain on the NHS,but seems like we blame it on the "Illegal Immigrants".
