Im having a panic attack right now, im crying very badly because I think I have colon cancer, im gasping for air, my heartrate is surely above 150, I cant breathe, I dont know what to do, since the beggining of this year i felt something is wrong with me I thought its stomach issues cause of constant nausea and pain in upper belly, but i have done gastroscopy and they told me it is all okay, they were rolling eyes at me they told me  im crazy and i have panic disorder but i didnt know how to deal with it since i felt real pain that subsided three months ago but since then I have heart issues and constant terrible migraines, i have ice pick headaches that make my head feel heavy, my heart is always pounding hard and i cant even excercise since im always tired and out of breath and now on thursday im going to get a holter but i have been feeling this (sorry tmi) weird sensation in my butt for like second month now, like stabbing that was so intense and wouldnt let me move but it would happen once in a few days or even weeks and it would last a few seconds so i wasnt paying attention to it, it was just very severe when it came, usually with gas or something, I went on a toilet two weeks ago to pee and I had blood on the paper but since I was waiting for my period I thought it was just spotting but now i went on a toilet and i felt this weird wet sensation in my butt so I touched it and my finger was covered in blood, not drops but you definitely could tell and Im freaking out since it was blood probably even two weeks ago, i also have some weird mucus discharge but i thought it was normal, im pooping normally, dont really feel no pressure when doing it, once every day or two days. I did something stupid right away because of the panic, i inserted a pencil (I SANITIZED IT) to my butt just to see if there was something in the way and i couldnt insert it more then 5 cm, it started to hurt SO BAD and i started freaking out about it since I have had problems with my stools since i was a young 5 year old child, i couldnt poop, I had constant constipation, sometimes for three weeks and i didnt want to go on a toilet since it would hurt so bad, doctors told me to not get colonoscopy since they were like "oh most of the children suffer with this, she will be fine after she hits puberty". it really did got better since i hit puberty, so i think i have a polyp that is cancer now and im so scared i cant even breathe im shaking so much, i have had gastroscopy and blood tests three or four months ago for my stomach but i dont know, i dont know what to do, i feel bad to tell it to my doctor since she would definitely think im crazy, stomach, heart, now colon cancer so i dont think i will tell anybody, nobody takes me seriously.. i need to calm down please, im just 18 I cant deal with this now and i dont want to get colonoscopy , i got gastroscopy a month ago and I was so SO scared i cannot deal with this all over again.. please help me

Hi Amber, Please take a few deep breaths and calm yourself a bit. If you have a good relationship with your Mom, please tell her about the blood you saw. It could be something very simple, but you need to talk to someone. You sound so distressed. I am worried about you. Do you have a therapist you can talk to? I have a therapist and a psychiatrist I talk to and it helps. I also talk to my Mom about all my feelings. She is such a good listener and never judges me. (((Hugs)))

Hi Amber, Please still talk to your Mom. My Mom says she would rather worry than to not know. In my area, I go to a place called Daymark Recovery Services. They charge on a sliding scale. It is based on your income and insurance. Check to see if they have one of these in your area. I pay only $19 to see my therapist. This website. too, is a great place to talk. There is no judgement and there are lots of people who understand. Keep talking.

By sticking a pensil up to a place that sees no daylight and your hurt yourself I would advise yo talk to your GP and explain what you have done. On some occasions your GP can check you over in the Surgery. However He may send you for further tests to make sure you have not damaged the Colon with the pencil.

It would seem you are suffering anxiety and given that your GP may introduce a treatment pathway to help you.. The one thing that would worry me is the pencil trick, you need to be checked over

Have you ever had a Colonoscopy ?

I have them every year and they do Sedate me. They can also fix many problems they find as they perform the procedure. They can treat fissures, piles and other problems. there and then. You will actually be home in very short time, for tea

      Good Luck, do not worry

Nope, my GP insisted to not get one since she was sure my problems werent that serious and they would get better with age. I had gastroscopy a month ago and I went out of there with "anxiety" diagnosis, i cannot go back again, month later and tell them i dont have stomach cancer, but I have colon cancer now. They would not even perform the colonoscopy, I just sound crazy but I dont know what to do

If you are not feeling well your GP needs to know. These two tests are different, one goes up the other goes down and they never get mixed up

Anxiety is a strange condition and you need to confirm your own health so you will no longer worry, and then move on and get on with your life in a more positive way

If the blood was bright red, that is very common.  Especially when someone has constipation, the pushing can rupture little blood vessels which cause the blood. That is not harmful. Eating more fiber is in drinking more water will help the constipation. Of course you should follow up with your doctor. I have had that bright red blood many many times due to constipation .  I was once constipated for over three weeks and had that bright red blood also. That was over 30 years ago and I’m perfectly fine now.  Other people get bright red blood due to hemorrhoids, but mostly due to the tiny blood vessel’s that rupture from people pushing with constipation. . It happens all the time. Colon cancer at your age is basically unheard of. What has happened is fear has taken you over. When you get panicky or even when you’re not panicky listen to an audio for panic on YouTube. They will guide you through it and help you to calm down. I do believe that your anxiety has really peaked and lead you to worst case  thinking. Anxiety can play tricks with your mind and get you to believe things that are not true.

I would encourage you to visit your doctor first,  so you can discuss what is concerning you and get some peace of mind. then have your mom arrange for you to get some counseling for the anxiety and panic.

your symptoms of heavy heard, heart pounding etc. are extremely common with anxiety. Those symptoms will not hurt you and your heart will be fine. Rapid heart rate   that is due to anxiety CANNOT Hurt your heart!,Those symptoms are caused by adrenaline that your brain releases when you are anxious.  So the more you calm down, the less you will get these symptoms. The more you react with anxiety, the worse the symptoms will be. So please listen to the breathing meditation on YouTube called mindfulness breathing guided meditation 10 minutes. There are other great meditations on there for anxiety that could help you a lot!

you are  going to be OK once you get this anxiety under control. 🌸🌸🌸😁

Hello Jan,  thank you so much for your kind response. Yeah, my mom and brother told me too it happened to them, I also had a stool yesterday that was very hard to pass and it might have damaged the inner tissue.. Im just anxious about the fact it happened two weeks ago too while i was not pooping and the sharp pain.. My problem was i started googling the symptoms and stories of colon cancer, i found people who got it at 18 and they wrote "oh I just had a drop of blood in my stool so I saw my doctor and they basically told me I have cancer". And the symptoms were for example breathlessness which i have, thought it was anxiety related but now i was sure it was not and it kinda made sense that I have cancer and I feel this sinking moment, the realization, I almost fainted no joke.. but your response really did make me calmer. Thank you so much.
