Hi --First I want to say I was taking Amitriptyline for a year or so.  THen I had trouble swallowing pills.  I was having a test & I told the gastroentrologist & she said that amitriptyline slows everything down.  I stopped the med & the swallowing problem stopped.  Now that was me maybe that would not bother you.  Just sayin.

I now am in a flare up of fibro & my upper torso hurts the worse.  In addition to the fatigue it is depressing. as I also have degenerative disc in my neck.  SO I sympathize with all of  you suffering.  Do you do any exercises or yoga.  I am getting back into that.   As for my meds I am about to ask for Cymbalta don't know if doc will give it to me or not.  Get better.

Hi, group...I have every one of those symptoms...Believe me, it's no picnic...what bothers me the most is the exhaustion.  I went to my doctor yesterday, and she said to keep doing what I'm doing because there is no cure, as of yet...I take Tramadol and occasionally, Lyrica, plus antidepressants....

Hi Linda....so sorry to hear about your pain. My pain varies day to day, somtimes hour to hour with shoulders, feet, body twitching, neck pain, and tremendous deep strains that come on non provoked (musculoskeletal), I would be here all day just listing syptoms...   I think that Fibro symptoms vary greatly with each person having their own set of symptoms. Every area you mentioned I believe are quite common amongst the fibro community.  Wishing you better health and less pain...hang in there...gentle hugs to you

    Hi Linda

Have you been referred to a rheumatologist to confirm whether it is Fibro? The docs have to rule out all other symptoms before diagnosis of Fibro.

It's NO fun living with pain daily, but at the end of the day we can't allow Fibro to take over our lives.

Have you tried CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy)?

I am not taking any conventional meds at the moment but I am trying Ayruvedic herbal meds and I will be reporting shortly with all my experiences with Ayruvedic.

Gentle hugs and take care wink xx
