    Hi

Best to print some out and take it in to him. I'm glade for you that you found your diagnoses, hopefully he'll agree and you can move forward.

With HS just remember to stay positive and be as brutally persistent in trying to kill it as it is to hurt you. This might seem tough as HS is tough but you gotta be tougher. You can do this.

Hi you tell your doctor what you have and show him the info.  A lot of doctors don't really know about it so don't expect yours too.  They do not know the cause nor is there a cure although there are things which could help.  There is little knowledge or interest amongst the medical profession on HS.

Your best bet is to be asked to be referred to a dermatologist as they have much more knowledge of HS.   Let us know how you get on x

    Hi there

The folk who have already replied are spot on, take a print out with you and your GP will most likely refer you to a hospital for an appointment with a specialist.

If it helps at all, one piece of advice that I wish I'd known to follow when I first had HS but didn't know what it was is DO NOT squeeze or try and burst any bumps, let them burst or go down naturally.

Squeezing causes the tracks and tunnels to form and from my own experience made my condition much worse pretty quickly.

    Best of luck

hi thanks you for the information I been reading a lot about how everyone is controlling hs through diet. I started cutting out gluten and nightshade foods I struggle with caffeine but have noticed a difference in just a few days of changing those few things. From what I'm readding everyone has different triggers or foods that cause flair ups. Anyway thanks everyone for the help. I will be sure to being the doctor information on hs
