I think I have IBS-C but can't tell for sure

It started when I was 16 and I am now 24, I always thought maybe because I just eat unhealthy I always feel costipated and have stomach problems. Just until recently for one month I have been going to the gym five days a week and eating way healthier then I was, but I'm still costipated and if I haven't gotten any stool out my stomach just feels like I have Togo. When I goto the bathroom I'll spend sometime 15 minutes trying to get just a little bit out and sometimes it feels like I got it all out. And that will relieve some of the pain if I just get a bit out however when I feel like I get it all there won't be any pain. But in hour or two the stomach starts feeling like I got Togo again and if I try and go it's just costipated and I might get a little out or all of it out but it's just so repetitive, it's like this 24/7. Please help! Or maybe you know what I might have.

Have you tried eating more fruit and vegetables to ease the constipation or tried a short term stool softener?  You may have simple constipation.  Try diet change first.  If these solutions don't work, you will need to see your doctor for tests and diagnosis.  Only a doctor can tell you for sure what you have,

Do you find any particular food upsets your stomach?  Is the pain there only when you feel constipated?  Does it move about your stomach and come in bouts?  Does stress and anxiety set it off?

Try eating prunes, drinking prune juice and lots of water to see if that help with your constipation and pain.

Some things I recently started taking, after many bouts over the years with this, are Acidophilous, Triphala, and Slippery Elm.  The last couple of days I have had wonderfully regular goes.  Stress seems to be a big activator of my bouts, so I try to avoid that as much as possible.  But you might want to try these things.

Apart from thinking you have ibs c, you need to add some more roughage and juices in your diet to soften the bowel. You need ibs confirming with your doctor or a dietitian. I have ibs c and I take a bowel softener twice a week. I have my diet virtually sorted now. Good luck.
