I think I (kind of) overdosed?

Posted , 3 users are following.

On Friday night, I took 20 amoxicillin (5000mg) but I woke up on Saturday morning... I spent Saturday fine and now it is Sunday morning and I have (ew, this is embarrassing) , diarrhea and I feel nauseous. I don't want to tell my mom or anything, I'm just a hit worried.

Thanks.

Abbey go to A&E or the Emergency Room [what country are you in?]  and tell them what you have taken, also, you should tell your Mom - forget being embarrassed, everyone will soon forget but they won't forgive themselves if something happens to you and they weren't able to help you.

I hope that all that happens to you is the sickness and diarrhoea but, promise me you will go to A&E/ER

And please let me know how you get on,  good luck!

You will certainly have the runs.

You cant accidentally take 20 Amoxician

    Its an antibiotic

    What were you thinking?

    Why? Xxx

Linda, my first reaction WHY......20  500mg Amoxicillian....I have them in my refrig for any dental appts....since my hip replacement.....I rarely take antiobiotics.....

When I feel something coming on like a cold I high dose with Echineaca and it does the trick all the time....Just went thru that a couple days ago and 4 Echineaca cleared me up.

Otherwise grape seed extract for over 19 yrs now keeps me very healthy re: immune system......J

No the lady took an overdose of antibiotics.

I agree with you echinreaca is brilliant.

Her Dr must have given them her for an infection.

I feel they are given out too freely xx

I agree they are handed out too freely, like candy.   They can do a lot of damage and I've heard from some who take the Cipro and Levaquin class of abx, fluoroquines.....so much muscle and joint damage from these drugs...

Echineaca is a kind of herbal antiobiotic and I work with it FIRSt before I go to the drug world...and yes often a drug is needed but WITH caution, they all have their possible side effects....

I got smart starting in my 50's and my grandgirl who is 18 soon, is on her way to this smartness of working to first heal thyself....

It takes work on our parts to do our own healing outside the drug world...and a desire.

.I've never been a sick sick person but plagued with allergies and sinus issues until I got on grape seed ex in 1995, they became history.  I have not bought a allergy drug in over 19 yrs....  AND the main reason I got on grape seed ex was we were told by a panel of researchers and a couple MD's that it MAY prevent cancer.....so far so good at 76 yrs...

The major population runs to MD's for supposed fixes, many are waking up but not enough....I prefer to support the supplement industry vs the drug industry.

I'm in the US and buy all my supps online....but here it's available everywhere: health food stores, drug stores, even some food markets...Online buying gives me best prices and I use a lot of supps to manage my life.   J

Abbey, how old are you?  I got the feeling that you are quite young, which is why I suggested going to A&E/ER.  You shouldn't be taking overdoses of anything.

Have you spoken to anyone about this?  Posting on here doesn't count as talking to someone.
