I think I’m losing my mind.

I am having spurts where I will forget something I was gonna say or what I was thinking of or I have said before. It’s like confusion or short term memory loss or kinda feels like I am dreaming or in a dream. But then the feeling goes away. Has anyone had this with anxiety before?? I’m so scared and hate this feeling.

It’s about whether at the moment you feel like somethings off about your surroundings and or environment. If you do feel off remain calm and keep a positive mindset so your actions can come positive.
No you are not your thoughts but in a state where your mind can feel disconnected from your body or the real world one should know a positive mindset can only have positive outcomes. Always remember too to keep calm and relax act as if you don’t care and ride it out. Best wishes friend

Hi kandice I have this too, try not to worry too much about it, I know it feels scary but it's just a horrible symptom of anxiety. Are you on medication because that could cause it too. Xx

Hi Pam....you seem knowledgeable on this subject...What meds cause this condition...And does everyone else who suffers from anxiety suffer this "depersonalization"...What are the symptoms of this condition..thnx

Hi Louis not everyone suffers from depersonalisation with anxiety. Your mind is tired from all the stress and anxiety so it's gone into safe mode until the mind and body is calm again. I know some people get depersonalisation from antidepressants but not everyone, normally in the first couple of weeks of taking them because of the chemical change in your brain. I have it through severe anxiety, I know it feels strange & scary but it's harmless, it's just your minds way of protecting you. Just carry on as normal and don't try and let it bother you. 😊

Its very scary in my case Pam..its beginning to affect my thinking process..I feel like I'm dreaming while awake..When I try to close my eyes to sleep...my mind just goes everywhere uncontrollably..this feeling in turn makes me go through a panic attack..I just feel I'm losing my mind.I'm very scared..I have a young family..and they need me sane..its like my thought process is now severely impaired...with the worst brain FOG..severe confusion..memory loss. Sequential thinking is severely impaired....I still believe it's not anxiety/depression..I'm so tired of seeing so many doctors..( in crying as I type this)..it's just too overwhelming...I just started on Prozac 3 days ago..The Dr. Also gave me Seroquel?...supposedly for sleep...?
Sometimes I believe is the side effects of my high blood pressure meds...I feel I'm in big time trouble with my health because it now involves my mind....Pls help me Pam...PM me..
