I think I’ve been misdiagnosed !!!!!??? Confused and tired !!

Hi , I posted on here originally back in April when I was initially diagnosed with genital hsv 1 . I am in a monogamous relationship with the man who took my virginity back when I was 18. Needless to say , I have only had any type of sexual encounter with ONE person . So In my case , I know for sure where I could’ve gotten it from . At first I was considering if sharing drinks could’ve given him the virus and then he gave it to me . After researching for many months and seeing many doctors , I have not heard of any case of herpes being transmitted through objects .
I know that I did not cheat on him .I am the worlds biggest hypochondriac!! I wouldn’t even consider sex with my own boyfriend until he got tested . My entire life I have been very cautious of my health. (And it sucks that after all of the precautions I’ve took my entire life to prevent these type of things along with the fact that I’ve only ever had sex with one man , that I could possibly have hsv1 . I would be completely fine if I had multiple partners and ended up with this , and it makes me think that all along I should’ve just been enjoying sex with other people and not being so stuck up ! So if I ever ended up single , despite the fact that I’ve only been with one person , I’d still have a lifelong disease .)
Back when I was diagnosed ( by swab ) I asked him and argued with him for weeks about if he had cheated on me with anyone . He insured me that he didn’t, and still till this day denies it despite all of the confusion this has caused . He also got tested by blood ( I am not sure which test) and his results came back negative ! I also had a blood test which came back negative ( I’ve never had cold sores) . My doctor insured me that the positive swab and negative blood test just meant that it was a new infection.
I know that people say if you test positive by swab then you definitely have it but in my case it is questionable.. I have also read many posts online about people being misdiagnosed with herpes . I trust that he did not cheat on me which is why I truly believe I have been misdiagnosed . I also believe I have been misdiagnosed because the lesion only appeared after I had a pad flip over in my underwear that caused the sticky part of the wing to ride up between my labia . I believe that if I never had the horrible experience with the pad , the lesion would’ve never appeared . I should also mention that the lesion only occurred in the place where the sticky part of the pad was stuck !! Another reason I believe I have been misdiagnosed is because I was given valtrex and I didn’t take the medicine until a week after When i received the diagnosis because I was sure I did not have it , my lesion had cleared up before I even started the valtrex .
The only way I could have gotten hsv1 is if my boyfriend cheated , which I trust that he didn’t , not to mention that his blood tests are negative , or somehow the pad that i had worn which was brand new out of the package was purposely infected with hsv by the manufacturer, and what are the odds of that ?? And I also mentioned the idea that maybe he shared drinks with someone who had herpes, which I also have never heard of any instance of that occurring, otherwise everyone would have herpes . I was also thinking that maybe he shared drinks with someone who may have had more than normal saliva on the bottle, but again what are the odds ? Could I be that unlucky ??? And I should mention that he’s never had any cold sores or lesions in his mouth so I assume that means that he couldn’t have gotten it from sharing drinks ( I mention sharing drinks because he went to Miami for spring break where I am sure many people shared beer bongs , bottles of liquor , etc ) There was also an instance at a party where someone dropped their drink and a little splashed on my leg , I am quite sure that herpes can’t be transmitted via spilled drink that may or may not have caused one drop to someone how get deep between my legs , through my shorts and in my underwear to cause hsv1. There was also an instance in which I let my friend borrow my lip gloss , I am also pretty sure hsv can’t be transmitted this way either and even if it did I would’ve gotten oral hsv1.
What should I do about this ? I know I am not crazy . I’ve spoken to my doctor and he’s sure that I have it and is simply saying that my bf cheated on me .

It’s transmitted via skin so if you touched someone who had it on their skin then touched your hoohaa then it could’ve spread that way 🤷🏼??? Get another blood test. Maybe you’re immune and just fought it off for good.

Yeah I’ve considered that too ! But I’ve heard that the virus doesn’t last long that way . I’ve also asked my doctor about me maybe touching someone then touching myself, he didn’t seem to think that was even a possibility. But even if I did touch someone who had it on their skin I wouldn’t have touched my self after , and if I did touch my self i would’ve done it hours later at night while showering , and I probably would have washed my hands atleast ten times by then lol . I could also have touched myself while using the bathroom maybe but I usually don’t touch myself directly with my hands , just toilet paper when wiping . Not to mention all the things I do on a daily basis , I probably would’ve wiped it off my hands( if that’s possible) by the time I got the chance to touch myself. It seems like an instance in which one would have to touch the virus and then immediately touch their genitals to get it . And since it’s supposedly hsv1 I would’ve had to touch someones genitals who had it or someone’s mouth , , I didn’t do either . I do know you can get it on your body and I could’ve touched someone who had it on their arm maybe , but again the odds of that seem super slim and everybody would probably have herpes if it could happen that easily 😐. so I’m not sure if that’s a possibility for me . Now I have definitely touched my bf and directly touched myself (during sex) but he has never had cold sores so. I know that sometimes the blood tests can miss infections so I’m going to have him get his blood tested again ( he was negative the first time ) but as mentioned above he’s never had cold sores so I’m not sure about that either . All I can narrow it down to is misdiagnosed, lab error, or he cheated (which I truly believe he didn’t ) because surely I can’t be the only person in the world to have done something ridiculously harmless and contracted genital Hsv1. And I am also going to get my blood tested again when I get the chance to .

Yes that could definitely be a possibility!! I will eventually try that if none of the blood tests I do in the near future give me any answers. It just seems as though after all these years I would’ve caught it a long time ago 🙄, or maybe one of his past partners would’ve .Then it makes me wonder why I didn’t get any on my mouth As well because surely every act of sex involves a lot of kissing. But really the one thing that makes me question it is the way I got an “outbreak” from the pad . The outbreak only happened when I had that pad misfunction . I’ve read that friction can cause a recurring outbreak but my blood test around the time was negative so I’m pretty sure that would’ve been considered my first outbreak . So what are the odds that my first outbreak occurred coincidentally at the exact same time as the whole pad situation . I guess there’s a possibility that I got the virus before but never had a first outbreak and that caused me to have one .
