    Hi Helen..

you have to go 12 months no period before full Meno is reached, I have been in peri for almost 9 years, last period was 8 months ago, so I am still in peri..

i still have the PMT symptoms every month .. no period... what I can tell you is I only had two last year, and my last one 8 months ago was hell, I felt so sick, headaches throbbing ones for 4 days solid, my last period was the worst ever ...

I am aged 49 and have been in peri since the age of 41 approx... hope that helps abit ..

    Hi Helen,

Jay is right, this all sounds normal. Poor you. I remember those days well. Lying in bed with a hot water bottle on my tummy. Shouting at people, being a real cow. I ended up with a total hysterectomy because of suspicous smear tests which caused other probs, I just wanted to say think when its bad "this will not last." It won't and you will come out the other side. Take plenty of care of yourself and use medication to eleviate the symptons. Healthy diet helps too. Good luck

Sigh.  Such a pain I thought I had said goodbye to all that mess and stuff.sad
