I took Cipro & Ibuprofen for over 90days...

Back in 2011 i presented to the hospital with suspected mild epididmitus.

I was placed on these poisonous tablets too.

After 90days of max dose 1000mg per day of Cipro and ibuprofen together at 800mg i was a crippled beyond belief.

I went back to the doctor with Full body bruises in “train tracks” down my arms legs and ankles. He then preceded to tell me that my body was attacking itself.

I stopped taking this drug that day.

Fast forward to today - utterly zero change, no respite, no feeling better, dont ever believe blindly,  that your body can heal from this guys, that mistake i made...

Burning pains tingling muscular pains severe weakness and terrible joint and tendon pains, severe anxiety Its worse than grim....

I was a fully fit Engineer serving in the Armed forces btw, these tablets the USAF prescribed me while i was in the desert! That was 2011. I was medically retired soon after and disabled.

Beware please of these drugs, the Floroquinolone group of tablets can have devestating effects on those unfortunate to have an adverse reaction. Simply put....you will be left crippled disabled and living a life full of regret. Try other Antibiotics if its not life threatening....and i mean deaths door.

Hello. We are collateral damage stemming from our governments plan for anthrax attack (there is no other cure). We must consider why would your doctor give you such a massive dose without doing the required susceptibility testing ? After Cipro has earned a "black box" warning and your government was sued by the postal workers. After 9/11 postal workers were fed Cipro as a vaccine against anthrax leading to disastrous effects. Our governments continue to experiment on us because they want a large, fresh supply of Cipro for an anthrax attack that may never come.

Hi Eric, I've already replied to the discussion you started.

I thought I should just point our that this forum is read worldwide although there is no way of telling which country people come from.  Please don't assume everyone is from the US as we aren't!

Hi Miriam sorry I think I forgot some punctuation. I'm from Alberta, Canada. I meant to say our countries as plural (US and Canada). I won't group Europe in with us as apparently you are more progressive given you at least recognize there is a big problem.

      Hi Eric,

At least your country did make an announcement similar to the FDAs of July 2016 and just a few weeks later.  I tried to get the MHRA  (UK health agency) interested back then but they shrugged and said nothing they could do as it was up to the EMA (Agency for the whole of Europe).  It was German pressure that brought about this review and Public Hearing.

We hope the EMA result will go above and beyond what the FDA said - then maybe the US will later copy Europe!   I think it's more likely that they will make their decision just about match the FDA's - in they they will TALK the "it's dangerous stuff" talk but not actually follow through with any kind of walk.  If we can persuade the EMA to notify every European health professional plus severely restrict what FQs can be prescribed for, then we can start to call that progress.

I read somewhere that if Thalidomide had these hidden and delayed effects it would still be in use now! Keep spreading the word, it's all we can do until the people in charge start to take this seriously and actually do something.

Yes at this juncture in time you need as many voices as possible! However this experiment knows no boundaries and we can be thankful for the sacrifice made by US postal workers who made empirical treatment with Cipro a verifiable experiment. The results of this experiment coupled with the manufacturers own recommendations are obvious proof as to the extreme danger of empirical treatment, testing and torture with Cipro.

Hi Derek sorry I didn't reply to your last communique and thanks for the link. I have been busy working on a new letter for our federal government to intervene given medicine is a provincial matter but in 17 years of writing to the Alberta gov't nobody can explain how the college's slim, engineered protocol somehow came to replace the manufacturer recommendations or explain the huge hole in their sketchy protocol and how it got there. All meaningful discussion with the authorities is denied here as a result. Strength to your arm my friend and I will soon be back with more of the thoughts plucked from my brooding brain which have collected there waiting these long years for some light from the dark place our governments have left us

I am sorry there are so many people who are suffering as a result of this debilitating drug. I was given Levaquin intravenously in the hospital Jan of 2016 for sepsis.  I understand that this strong of a drug was required for the very serious infection that I had but I was unaware of the long term side effects that goes along with it.  I took it for a total of 30 days.  For the following 9 months after I could hardly get out of bed, my blood pressure would sky rocket just getting up and walking across the room.  I was on heart monitors for three months at this point because they could not control my heart rate. My bones hurt to the point I could hardly walk some days.  I had numerous infections which lead to 6 more rounds of antibiotics in that nine month time frame. I had panic attacks and depression.  I would get  horrible migraines that lasted days and would come on 2-3 times a months.   I had NO energy with three little kids to care for (one being a baby).  My memory issues terrified me! I could hardly finish a sentence, I could not remember what I was talking about or could not come up with a word or a name that I knew  before.  I had moments where I could not remember how to do things that I have done thousands of times such as make a pot of coffee, find a channel on the TV, operate the microwave or certain tasks at work that I normally wouldn't have to even think about.  I felt like a shell of the person I once was.  I had very little hope or faith that this could improve especially since numerous doctors and specialists could not give me any answers. My dear cousin suggested an all natural supplement that reduce oxidative stress by 40% in the first 30 days. It is a NRF2 activator.   I was skeptical but desperate so I gave it a try.  Fast forward to now and I have to say I am and will be forever grateful for the information shared with me.  It took a few months to really feel my energy shift but I did notice that my headaches went away right away and have never returned.  My energy is better than before I was sick. My heart rate and blood pressure are on the low side of normal. My body no longer hurts from every joint, muscle and bone! My memory is much better as well as my concentration level. My anxiety and depression are gone. As of  Sept 2016 I have not taken any antibiotics as I have not been sick once since I started taking this amazing little yellow pill!  I finally can sleep 6-8 hours straight through!! My thyroid medication (unrelated to the Levaquin) has been reduced twice. Reversing the damage to the cells allows your body to heal itself.  I am no longer a skeptic I am a believer and more importantly a HEALTHY believer!   If you would like more information I would be happy to give the gift of information that was given to me. There is hope!!

Thanks for your interesting contribution to this discussion.  I have to admit that Nrf2 is a new one on me and have been looking it up since I read your post.  I'll do more research but just say here that floxing affects people in different ways and we generally suggest people approach new ideas with caution.
