I took Sertraline(Zoloft) for one month, spotted for two weeks and now started taking them again

It took me a while to start feeling the effects of the Sertraline, the last week of the month I was taking them I started to feel a massive different with how I was feeling. Unfortunately I was travelling at the time I ran out and I will be travelling for quite some time. So I had to stop taking them for about two weeks. I have managed to get some new ones now but it does worry me, will I have to wait three weeks again to start feeling the effects again? Or will this process he quicker this time?

During the second week of not taking them my depression and anxiety was multiplied, so I'm super eager to be taking them again, just wondered if anyone had been through a period of not taking them and how did the process of taking them again ago!

Thank you for you time and for getting back to me with any answers, I really appreciate it

Hi there. Not the most helpful answer in the world here, but everyone is different. The fact you felt a benefit after such a short time is a good sign. Most people take many weeks to feel the effects. I did go a period without taking them and started again, and i did get the horrible side effect feelings again that i got at the start again for about a week. Everyone is different. Hopefully you will be ok but if you get side effects focus on the fact you know it will get better. sorry i cant help more
