What others have you tired, I have tried escitalopram, prozac, could only come down stairs , lay on sofa, with curtains shut, and watch cartoons, scooby do mostly, lost all apertight lost a stone in wait, getting better now, on mitazapine at night only small amount, but wait for it I am 58 years old , I am booked to see a psychiatrist in the near future may be put on sertaline, it,s terrible when you want to go out, but your mind and body stop,s you, it,s as if you have no strength , everyone says up to 12 weeks for antidepressants to work , I hope you soon get better it's a long time to suffer, but reading story's on hear and other forums got me through it, remember you are not the only one, there will be others in bed, some with agroa phobia, as well , how old are you?

I know how you feel ive been dealing with anxiety for about 4 years now and just to give you hope there is a logout at the end of the tunnel . Sertiline is a very slow medication it can take up to 6 months to fully feel normal again depending on your dose . Once you find your right dose stick with it and it will eventually get better . This medication saved my life !! It takes time just stay strong in it get into therapy and support group . This site is awesome I’m glad i can talk to people that i can relate too .

Hi Martine, I've been on 50 for around 19 weeks and now upped it to 75 and then probably 100. My doctor wanted me to go straight from 50 to 100 but i want to go slow. While i was on 50 it really helped me feel good but just wasn't strong enough to last till morning, my anxiety almost vanished but my social anxiety would pop up. On days that i was overly stressed, i would feel it coming on. So here i am going through some side effects again. But this time i know its the meds and not a fatal problem. So listen to your body and do what you have to do to feel better. 😎
