Hi I've been diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety, I'm new to all this and am a little confused with all that's going on, if anyone has any advice on how to lift my mood, bring my appetite back or tips on how to drift off to sleep, would be very appreciated, thanks in advance

I am fairly new also. I have depression. I am on 40 mg. Paxil. I also was prescribed xanax. I wish I had not started the xanax. I found it addicting. Am trying to taper off at this moment. Depression is awful. Especially in the mornings with me. If I can catch it in time, I will try to do something so sidetrack it. I love to play the piano. There has been days I cannot get out of bed. Good luck and keep me posted.

Hi, I've not been put on tablets yet, my doctor wants to see me in 2 weeks to decide what's best if I'm still the same, didn't want to get out of bed today if I'm honest having another bad day, hope you feel better soon 😊

Hey Charlie, Welcome ! Its quite a disconcertingĀ feeling when we are told we have depression/anxiety or both, we start doubting ourselves and fall victim to our state of mind when really its a inbalancement that needs intervention med/s/therapy what have you! I tried therapy but struggled at first as I was still in shock about the whole ordeal, I went to citalopram 20mg after a few months and almost straight away I felt really good there were side effects however the level grounding and feeling of hope was wonderful. Everyone is different some take a month some take several months before they start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. My best advice Charlie is to remain focused on feeling good again it will happen this is not permanent you'll be fine!Ā
