Hi,

I just been diagnosed with genital herpes and its a bit of a shock for me.

Mine is in the bottom of my vagina on the left labia and I remember having pain few times after sex before I realised I got it.

I would like to have some advices from women who got also herpes and to know how they cope with their sexual life? Is it painful every time after sex?

I am concern that the friction causing by sex might active the herpes all the time.

I don't want my sex life to be over because of this.

I am feeling very down 😦

I am taking the antibiotic aciclovir and even if it helps and hopefully will stop the outbreak I cant stop worrying about how this could affect my future sex life.

Please let me know if you got genital herpes how is it for you and how you deal with it.

Thank you very much

That's how it looked like for me, like a blister.

But when I looked at herpes picture it didn't looked like that but it is confirm to be herpes type 2.

So if you have doubt you should contact your doctor.

I took the antibiotic for 5 days and it's less painful now and its almost gone but it still feel itchy all around my vulva and I don't know what to do about that...

hello love! i have recently been diagnosed with genital herpes as well, i want you to know that you first of all are not alone, this does not define who you are as a person! you will have to learn with trial and error what will trigger your outbreaks and how you will introduce your herpes to your new partners! this is a time to listen to your body and learn and grow with it. i wish you all the best of luck
