I've been feeling like crap for over a month

I've been feeling like crap for over a month or so. I've had palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness, etc... I've been to the ER numerous times and everything checks out fine. The doctors tell me it's heartburn, stress or panic attack. I went to a(n) cardiologist on my own to check on some "symptoms" I was having and after blood tests, EKG, ultrasound and stress test, everything came back normal. I felt better for a few weeks and then the symptoms came back. I went to a gastroentorologist because of some stomach issues I was having and after an endoscopy and colonoscopy, everything was normal. I still have the stomach issues, but that doesn't bother as much. I have high blood pressure which was just diagnosed a few months ago and my symptoms have been gradually getting worse. Everyday I have issues with breathing, palpitations and chest pain. Feels like I'm having a heart attack. I was never aware of this disorder until I started reading up on it and I have all the symptoms. All I do is constantly worry about my health and dying. I have a wife and 2 beautiful girls and all I do is think about my health all day instead of spending quality time with them. It is consuming everything I do. It is good to know that I am not alone and that I can share my frustrations with others that are going through the same thing.

Your not alone there loads of people on here have the exact same symptoms . I came on here a few days ago and was reading comments from people and it really gave me peace of mind I thought I was really dying still feel the same you just have to tell yourself it's only anxiety and just try and forget it the more you think about it tells worse it gets I have constant headaches muscle twitching chest pains sweats and numbness some days worse than others but you just have to try and tell yourself it's nothing serious . Go to your gp as there is loads they can do to help I am taking propananol and sertraline not helping me yet but hoping they kick in soon

I've been taking Propananol too for HBP. It's working for the HBP, but not for my anxiety. Maybe there's something stronger the doctor can prescribe.

You need an anti hypertensive drug so you really need to discuss these issues with your dr.

Anxiety is ruff... the constant feeling of impending doom is horrid.. I was put on sertaline for my anxiety and it had helped a lot... unfortunately I had a miss hap of missing my meds which has brought the world crashing down.. but once it takes affect again.. I know I'll be back to normal

I plan to. It's gotten worse since I've been taking that medication.

tell me about it. The stress is killing me. I hate feeling like this. I've had some good days but the past week has been bad.

I used to be a nurse.
I knew the dr and she was very chatty and she told me that she had been prescribed propanolol for stress.
NB She said it made her feel like s...
As I said previously I used to be a nurse so my dialogue with dr can vary if u see what I mean. Anyway this dr told me that she now de stresses by knitting ,she said she had done three rows of a woolly hat!!
She also said she likes reading a good murder mystery! To which I jokinly replied I always jknew you were bloodthirsty. I can say things like that to certain drs but not to othrs she also said she seeks alternative therapies such as meditation.
She told me to go and have fun. I went for a meal in a nice restaurantjust tio try to change my routine and for a cmof scene and to chat to others. It helped but the point is to change things slowly but to get out of the rut.
The above is all true.

I know what you mean I feel the same way. Today I am feeling slightly brighter and able to tackle a few , not the word few things that I have been avoiding.
So it goes.
