I've been feeling sick for over 2 years now

Hi there

I am 17 years old and I have had trouble with my sickness for about 3 years on and off now. It comes and goes but I am feeling sick and being sick at least 2 times a week, and most of the time it's a lot more often than that.

I have been to the doctors and had every tablet under the sun that never seems to do anything. I have had my stool tested and blood tests done and everything was fine.

I don't know what to do as it is leading to me having time off college and cancelling my driving lessons quite often

has anybody got any suggestions on what to try and do to improve my sickness ?

Thank you

Kerry

I've tried it, I kept a diary of what I was eating and what time. I have changed my diet and I eat as healthy as I can and nothing seems to change, at first I thought it was dairy but most the time when I eat diary it is fine now.

I would go back to your gp and ask if he/she thinks you need a endoscopy that's a tiny camera to look into your stomach.

I had similar problems and my Dr sent me to have endoscopy I was diagnosed with HPYLORI I was given 3 different antibiotics which helped it clear up.I now have gaviscon.

don't worry about going back to your gp but do ask About a endoscopy.

I'm due to see a specialist at the gastroenterology centre at my local hospital at the end of June so hopefully they might do that.

Thank you very much for your help x

    Hola Kerry,

I strongly suggest that you consider seeing a GI specialist. The sickness sounds much like gastritis. I have had this condition off and on for several years. Please stay well hydrated despite the sick feeling so that you do not get dehydrated and end up with kidney issues. I have many stomach conditions now. I guess one led to another because I failed to seek the proper treatment. My prayers are totally with you.
