During the night i get panic attacks not so much during the day but at night. I feel like i can breathe and I feel this urge that I will die before the next day comes only at night these thoughts come to me. I feel like a burning sensation in my chest and I get back pains to but it's due to acid reflux and trapped gas. I feel sometime that my hurt will stop and it makes me pain and I'm just tired of it. How do you all handle your panic attacks and anxiety disorder

I just got an onset of panick attack last week because I chest pain and started worrying. My heart rate went up over 130 and didnt slow down. I went to ER, they gave me Antivan but it couldnt slow down my heart then they have to gave me another med to help. My heart rate goes down just a bit at 120, still super high T.T Dont know how to make it back to normal. I'm so freaking out.
I didnt on any antidepressant for anxiety because I have bad experience with Zoloft and afraid to try another meds
Now I'm trying accupunture. it definitely help me to relax. Just doing a couple session but I feel more calm

Breathing exercises can help the panic attacks to subside. Look up box breathing. Mindfulness meditation can help but it takes practice but may not be for everyone. Hypnotherapy may also help.
When you have panic attacks it is important to realise that it will not kill us and we will be ok. I have had panic attacks so I know how scary it is. Reassure yourself at these times and name it to tame it. When we do not know what it is then we become more scared. Maybe you are having them at night as you are not dealing/ addressing issues in the day. You could maybe write down your worries and look what steps you can take to solve them. Then you are not worrying as much at night about them.
Medication may be used to help with anxiety and panic disorders if you find other strategies do not work. Seeing a psychologist who can offer CBT is know to reduce panic and anxiety.
