Hi i am 17 years old male, my problems started 4 weeks ago after night of partying. I ate a lot of junk food pizza and bbq´s and drank about 2 deciliters (5 shots) of vodka. The morning after was terrible i had really wierd pain in my abdomen i never felt that before it was difficult to describe, i havent eaten anything for the next 2 days and then decided to visit doctor. She told me that i probably just mixed up a lot of food with alcohol and i should have a strict diet for a few days. i ate only rice and boiled potatoes, after few days i have started to feel great again so i had a decent launch ( mashed potatoes with chicken meat) but the pain came back after few hours i felt like my stomach turned to stone for a 5 hours until my stomach felt empty again.I went to see a doctor again and she sent me to gastroenterologist they did a blood tests and endoscopy, doctor told me that i have chronicalgastritis, my blood tests were great. I have got pantoprazol pills to decrease pH. i was told to be on a diet for another week. it has been 3 weeks from then and i still feel a wierd heavines in my stomach after i eat just a boiled potato or carrot tofu or vegetable soup. Sometimes i feel pain or stitching (like with a needle) under my left rib or in the middle of my abdomen, sometimesi have a bitter feeling in my mouth , and sometimes burning in the upper part of abdomen. I also started feeling pain (like pins and needles) near my left blade bone (dunno if it has anything to do with my stomach problems). I am scared and i generaly dont handle health problems really well.
-i have firm and solid but yellowish stool that used to float first few days (its like between yellow and brown)
-i have lost 8kg (18 pounds) probably from the lack of eating
-i went from 88kg(194 pounds) to 80kg(176 pounds)
-i do not smoke
-i used to drink. i used to have cca 2 beers every weekend but there were times where i didnt have alcohol for month. i also used to drink destilates but only in some ocassions once or twice a month (approximately)
I am worring if it might has something to do with pancreas like Chronic Pancreatitis
i want to apologize for my english i am not a native speaker (this might be a pain to read)

The pantoprazol pills will reduce the acid level in your stomach which means that food you eat may not be fully digested. How long has your doctor prescribed them to you for?
Have you tried eating plain or coconut yoghurt? These will supply enzymes which are kind to the stomach.
Give up drinking alcohol to excess
I am not a medically trained person but I wish you well

Thank you very much for the response. I am still having the same issues and i am eating very poorly and also loosing a weight. My back pain increased it hurts all over the back but mainly the left side. My doctor told me that the h.pylori cultivation was found in 1 of 4 blood tests they made but the stool test was negative he prescribed me antibiotics, (Amoxicillinum and Clarithromycin i am supposed to take them with pantoprazol for two weeks everything 2-0-2 )
because he thinks that that could be causing my problems. but i am skeptic
because my problems started just after one event, friend of mine who is a doctor told me that it maybe was acute pancreatitis and that my pancreas is still slowly recovering is it possible ?

It may also pay you to have your Vitamin B12 and Folate levels checked as h-pylori will cause you to have absorption problems with your digestion.

Hi i had Sonography but they couldnt find anything so the search continues. the doctor told me that the young , young adults body mainly pancreas recovers after acute pancreatitis much slower than in older people. Does anybody know if that can be true? im just really anxious and thinking that it wont ever recover.
Eugene i would like to ask you a question. Did you problems started after one specific event? And how are things going did you had appointment ? Do you know something new ? I wish you well .
