I've been having these problems for about a month...

Hello everyone! So I have been having these problems since May 21st. I had a cold the week before May 21st but then I started having these constant headaches that had hurt much more than the occassional headache. These headaches would make my head throb so much and they were an everyday thing! I had went to the doctor earlier this month and they had said that my bloodd pressure had elevated a bit and just said I was dehydrated. I had taken Ecedren whenever the headaches came around but the headache would usually come back every 12 hours. I noticed on the 3rd week of experiencing these headaches that my vision kind of changed. My peripheral vision would get dark like i'm going through a dark tunnel. I could also hear my heart beat once in a while

On June 13th, I decided to go to the hospital.  The doctor did the little test where they had to make you follow their finger, etc and she said everything was fine. She said I could be either stressed out or dehydrated. So then I started drinking lots of fluids each day. Nothing was getting better.

On June 18th, my boyfriend had visited me and I took another Ecedren pill that afternoon and all of a sudden the headaches just stopped coming. Was I just stressed out for not seeing him for a while? Though I still had a problem with my vision and i could still hear my heart pounding in my ear (whenever its really quiet).

My peripheral vision does not only go dark whenever I move, even when I'm sitting down. It happens pretty often.

I can still hear my heart pounding when it's quiet, except it's this weird buzzing sort of sound in my ear. (it happens in one ear at a time)

I'm not sure if I'm just very paranoid about something or...

I'm just afraid of dying, and me not knowing what's causing these problems makes me fear death even more!

Is it possible that I could have a ... sorry to say, a brain tumor?

I don't believe I'm stressed about anything?

thank you so much and sorry for writing all this! i just freak out everyday

    Hello Yasmin!

Your symptoms are a little worrisome and it's okay for you to freak out. I think you should go to yet another GOOD doctor. I'm sure it's far from dehydration that you are experiencing tunnel vision and ringing ears. Or maybe those are some side effects of a drug you might be taking and you just need to switch to another one? Explaining all your symptoms is very important. Jot them down if you feel you might forget some while consulting your doctor. Notice when the tunnel vision gets better or worse and notice when usually do your ears start ringing? Is it really random or there is some connection with something else?

Get well soon and consult your doc quick!

Yasmin. Have you gotten a full blood and urine examination first of? Gotten your blood sugar tested? Have you experienced dizziness or vertigo? Does everything go black for some time when you stand up?

Ringing or buzzing, the noise needs attention. Go to and ENT specialist and tell him you want your hearing tested out. And not just clinical exam, tell him you want a digital examination (if it suits your financial situation) Also yasmin, do other sounds of significance drain out when the buzzing noise starts? Any other symptoms that accompany it? Ask him if you need a brain scan because you also experience vision problems (describe those to him).

For the vision problems go to an ophthalmologist and tell him you want a slit lamp exam too besides the basic exam.

Also, never forget to tell all the specialists about the drugs you are taking.
