Masturbation is normal and won't cause any of the symptoms you describe. I've attached a graph of how often people masturbate at various ages:
The NHS says this:
"Masturbation is completely normal and extremely common. People of all ages masturbate and it’s often the first sexual experience they have.
Can masturbating cause any health problems?
Masturbation doesn’t cause any harm, either physically or mentally, even if you do it often. Your genitals may feel sore if you masturbate a lot in a short space of time.
Although people may be embarrassed to talk about masturbating, you shouldn’t feel ashamed of it or guilty about doing it. If you feel the need to masturbate is interfering with your everyday life, talking to a GP may help."

I've been masturbating for over 40 years btw, and I'm hoping I have plenty of years left.

Hi, this is clearly causing you a great deal of concern. We often get things that are more than a real concern to ourselves totally out of proportion!
As ml66uk suggests, masturbation is a quite a normal part of the 'human condition' - the fast majority of adolescents and adult men do this - and obviously, some, more frequently than others.
If you want to help yourself, you need to quantify the frequency of your masturbation? How many days per-week? How often each of those days do you masturbate?
Things like having "low energy", 'shrinkage' to the penis and "severe low-back ache" can often have completely external causes to that which you are attributing it. With the energy issue you may have a physical health issue that is causing this. Or, things that happen in your everyday life may be getting overwhelming, such as relationships with others, at home, broader family members or people at work. Perhaps your work situation is getting you down?
With the back issue, perhaps what you do everyday / during work, etc. you are lifting heavy weights incorrectly. I for many years had lower back pain and this was cured by getting a decent bed and a mattress that suited my posture! Perhaps it is even just the position in which you always sleep?!
In terms of the 'inability to take your hands from your pants' - you need to seriously consider focusing your attention for as many days as you can on other things that you find satisfying to you!!!
Do you do sports, do you do leisure or recreational activities? What about things as simple as going to the gym regularly? Cycling, walking, getting out and about in the natural countryside? Mountain biking? Anything that you can build in to your regular weekly routing that you get pleasure from - or even, simply rising to the demand of saying to yourself: 'yes, but I would find all those things boring' and unsatisfying!' It is then finding one that you can say 'despite not particularly wanting to do it, I will stick at it and do the best I can doing it.
No one has a magic wand to change what you have happening for you right now, you need to put in the effort to change what is happening.
All of what I have just said, I put in place for myself. Once you have gotten your mind focused elsewhere and you still don't like what your penis looks like, you can then look at safe, tried and tested means of altering what you have.
Two very simple things I did when my masturbation and sex life was getting me down was to do 'Kegels exercises' (look it up online) and to learn how to control my core muscles. I further enhanced this by doing Yoga, and Pilates.
So, quantify your frequency of masturbation. You can do this for yourself, or share that on here if you think that may help. Do you have other issues? Get this / them medically checked out if necessary. Think how you may focus your attention elsewhere: either something YOU would find satisfying, or / and you can rise to the challenge of continuing to do it regularly! A pair of robust multi-sport trainers need cost very little, and, simply walking, could be something you begin to do 2, 3 or even more times a week, for example.
Simple exercises such as kegels and switching on your core muscles may sound too simple to have any major impact, but you would be surprised!!!
As you state "Help please" indicates you may have something that is getting to you - relationships with others, work / not having work - you need to think what is going on for you? And if so, is there anything you can do to change the impact it is having ON YOU - if you cannot change the circumstance. Is there a new challenge you can rise to?!! Good Luck .... W.D.
