I’ve been nauseated off and on for the last week and nothing is helping...☹️

I am a disabled 60 year old female. My disability is because of chronic back pain. I have had back surgery 5 times presently have a pin and rod and a stimulator in my back. I have severe migraine. My prescribed shots along with a preventive medication. Also a type II diabetic... I had a hysterectomy years ago.
Anyway I have been having bouts of nausea for the last 7-10 days. I have taken phenegan, sipped soda, licked salt, taken alka-seltzer, pepto bismal, maalox, ate saltines, toast and chipped ice...,
Anything and everything seems to make me very nauseated.... day and night... smells (anything), eating, the mere thought of food, air freshener, cleaning supplies, paper and the list goes on.
Do anyone have any suggestions as to what "might" work? I really don't want to go to doctor, but I might have to go..., thanks

First port of call for me would be to have a pregnancy test, only joking to lighten the mood 😅 have you picked up a viral infection or could it be food poisoning or even something as simple as constipation.
If you are beginning to feel like it's not just something trivial you need to be booking an appointment with your doctor to get it sorted, thankfully most cases of nausea are benign

... I agree.. it could be a virus that has attached itself to me...definitely not constipation ... I'm going to make an appointment with my primary care physician tomorrow morning.
thanks

Hey, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. i can totally relate to you not wanting to go to the doctor if at all possible. I also have chronic back pain and get nauseous regularly. I can offer a few suggestions but ultimately if these don't work then you definitely should try speaking to a qualified health professional. You mentioned lots of good otc options, but I can also suggest Tums, milk, and instead of phenergan, see if you can get Zofran (ondansetron). Like phenergan it's prescription only, but dissolves under your tongue and is my doctors go to for nausea. I also agree that we should consider food related reactions, but given your migraines I might think about talking to a neurologist. Also, is there any associated pain in your belly with the nausea? I would also consider speaking to a gastroenterologist. Hope any of this helps and if you feel worse, please don't hesitate to contact either your primary care doctor or the local ER. Best of luck with everything and I wish you the best of luck.
Sincerely,
Harvey
