I've been off Mirtzapine for 2 weeks but still suffering from side effects. How long will this last

Posted , 5 users are following.

I've been on Mirtzapine for around 6-7 years, most recently at 45mg. I have to say, I haven't felt depressed however I was feeling exhausted nearly all the time on the pills so decided to come off them. I have been sleeping fine and my lifestyle is relatively healthy however I am still suffering from a high level of fatigue. Is this likely to be Mirtzapine still in my system? If so how long can will take to clear. Thanks for any help.

I just stopped taking them. I know you're supposed to transition off them but I really can't live with the side effects any more.

it took me three weeks and it was sheer hell, the night sweats, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea hot and cold, feeling like i had bugs crawling under my skin, bitter metallic taste in my mouth, nightmares, insomnia, weakness, lack of energy and my appetite was through the roof!

Thanks for the reply. Thankfully, I don't have it that bad just the constant fatigue. How long were you on Mirtazapine for?

How long were you on for and what side effects did you have?

I was on for about maybe a year or two, some of the more apparent side effects were nausea (also had no appetite), headache, anxiety and insomnia, I still get the headaches but the insomnia isn't as bad as it was initially I wake up at least once or twice during the night though, my depression has gone into a little bit of a frenzy so it is difficult to stay motivated during tough times but I manage to for, also I've been taking cbd oil, it helps with the sleeping issues a bit
