I've been off Zoloft (Sertraline) for nearly 4 or 5 weeks.

And the brain zaps have gone away. But I get moody sometimes, as its easy for me to get mad. But for sure I think I gained weight on Sertraline. So I quit it as one of the side effects are man boobs growing and weight gain. My question is did anyone just quit it and feel pretty good? And How long will it take for me to be normal again? Meaning sometimes im angry easy and I am emotional to what people say as well. I just want to be happy everyday.

I have heard that you need to wean off of it. Does your doctor know that you quit it?

No he doesn't. But I have noticed I get easily irritated and arguments more. As before i was more laid back and let things go.

I would talk to your doctor and see if there is another med that would work for you. Should never just go off the medicine.

Can I ask what the brain zaps feel like? I think I might be experiencing these.

It feels like a blinking sensation and temporary light headedness.

Yes this kind of describes it, it's like I've moved my head too fast and my brain got left behind for a split second, could that be a brain zap? I'd describe it more as a brain jolt.

I feel like they are electric shocks that zap you. Anywhere on your head.
