I've been prescribed Citalopram (Celexa). What should I expect during use, and how do I eventually g

I went to my doctor today. Told him about my lack of motivation, anti-social tendencies and sleep problems. He prescribed an SSRI (Citalopram also known as Celexa) and told me the on major side effect is a chance of sweating more. He never talked about excercise or diet but a lot about my work. We couldn't decide on any one trigger. I started loosing motivation half way though University, but I don't really know why that was. Too much weed?

There is some sports guy on TV saying he has depression but he doesn't know why. That doesn't really relate to me. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be depressed if I were successfully and accepted more socially. Basically I feel ugly and respected all the time. I should mention I also had ADHD as a child.

What really made me go to the doctor is that I've been putting up with it for over a year on and off. I lost my last job for being slack. I felt like doing anything, including work was a huge weight to lift and of course my productivity plummeted. It's a not an easy thing to admit, but I've finally gone in for some help.
