Hi Mandy sorry to hear your feeling this way. I was put on these tablets and only lasted 2 days on them the side effects were awful. Having said that I know people who have had no side affects and think they are amazing. If your willing to go through a couple of weeks of possible side effects then the advantages out way the dip at the start. Good luck with whatever you decide x

Hi Mandy everyone's side effects are different. The usual one as are nausea & increased anxiety. They are not pleasant but don't last long. 2 weeks max. Be brave cos after about 5/8 weeks you really will start feeling the benefits. Don't read any of the ridiculous comments you see on some forums as they can scare you to death. Stick to this forum. We all help each other. If you do experience increased anxiety perhaps your GP could give you a sedative like diazepam to help you in the short term. Good luck. Feel free to ask as many q's as you want. X

Hi Mandy, How have you got on with the tablets so far?

I'm in the same situation as you I have agoraphobia and my anxiety is really bad pretty much all day most days including panic attacks. I am aprehensive to take the sertraline ive been prescribed today because my main symptoms are extreme dizziness.however I am also at the point where i doubt i can recover from this without some kind of help.

I really hope you are finding them ok! and would like to know how you have felt.

    take care : )

Hi alaina, I was in the same situation, I had had a huge breakdown 3 years ago, had just about every anxiety gthe devil could throw at me, I didn't leave the hose for four months, it was hell... I too, was in 5 minds about takeing it.. Two weeks later I felt myself getting better, 5, weeks and I was singing g and dancing again, that was no coincidence, if I had not taken it I believe it would only get worse. Try it and stick it out, it's too easy to refuse when you are wired and down. All the best... it
