I've been taking sertaline for 10 days and my appetite is awful

my appetite is awful and I'm getting stomach pains, I'm getting hot flushes and sweating a lot at night and feel hot has anyone else had these 3 side affects ? Many thanks Steve

    Yep I have had all. I have to force myself to eat and it's horrible rolleyes starting to feel slightly better now still not 100%. The worst is the hot flushes sad

    hello Steve  Yes I had all of this and more - side effects took a while to go completely and you will feel better after a few weeks. I was on 50mg for 7/8 weeks and been on 75mg since just before xmas. Keep going!

    Yep :-( been on sertraline since August and still have no appetite, just increased to 100mg and still have no appetite. Have to remind myself to eat xx

      yes I know what you mean I've lost 5pound in 10 days through not eating properly.

    Hi Steve,I've been on sertraline for about 6 months. The night sweating is horrendous. Reduced from 100mg to 50mg now on 25mg for last 2weeks. Still sweating nights. Gotta get off this stuff I need a good nights sleep.

    Yea that's pretty familiar. Seratraline will make you worse at first and then with time you will get better (if not, see your doctor). it took a good 6 months at 100mg before i felt fully back to normal after almost a decade of feeling rotten. you'll be fine!
