    Hi bob35242

You should receive a text in the following days to confirm they have your assessment results then either a letter confirming the same as the text this is what happened to me I'm just waiting for the decision now and they said it could be between 6-8weeks

      Hi tks for your reply

I have received a text stating that they have all the info they need and just waiting to make a decion now and i received that text last monday the 22nd

And they said that they will be in touch

My friend went to the same place for his assessment last month and he was given the same text about having all the info they needed and he received the resuts 2 days later stating he had been awarded pip then got a letter with full results 5 days later and money was in his bank same week ..

So guess am just panicing a bit now as has taken a week allready

And when phoned them they said they still hadn't made decion.

All though I'm glad he got it

I Wish I hadn't known he got his so fast

Yeah thanks I got enhanced on both.

they just said they had a big workload and would be in touch when they had made a decision, I thought they might text but they never did if I hadn't rang them , it would have been 9 weeks when I got letter.

Its awful all the waiting I know I thought it would never end

Yeah I did have my assessment report because I asked for it more or less straight away so that put my mind at rest a bit .

How did you go about getting that

      If don't mind me asking

And how long did it take ? To arrive

And guess that gave you a fair idear how it went

My assessment only lasted 5 mins he said as I was worked up and due to my problems he didn't want me to have to go through it all

So told me he had every thing he needed in paper work and to go back home and relax

Don't know if that's a good thing or bad as reading everything people have wrote I'm so just up in the air

Well it sound hopeful my assessor was like that sympathetic

If you still have your appointment letter for assessment it should be on the bottom of one of the pages that you can request it , if not just ring PIP helpline. it took about 2 weeks to come.

Yeah I think that I will ask for it

I just didn't want it to effect or slow down my dection in any way by asking for it

      Thanks for your help

I'm sure you are up in the air Bob,  that's not a very professional answer to me.  I was very lucky with my assessor, she was a doctor and seemed to understand my problems, but to be perfectly homest with you I don't think anyone is sure until they receive the decision.  Hang on in there

To tell you a bit more

He was really sympathetic I suffer from panic attacks and depression also is where I cannot control my bowls from ibs and a curverture in my spine hurts when I'm walking

He was really sympathetic and said to calm down and that he understands what I had to go through seemed genuine but just don't know as it's not them that make the final decesion

I had a panic attack after a couple of mins if being in the assessment talking about my problems as don't like having to face people out side as don't like going out the house and can't take any unfimiliar route as need to know the toilet is on route etc

So he said I have all the paper work I need with psychiatrist reports that say what I have to cope with and lots of paper work stating have a phycologist report stating have a phycotic ilness

So he said he didn't need anything else from me

Could see I was struggling and said to go home he could complete the test himself with out me and to go home and relax

I'm not sure if to take as good or bad but he didn't really want to take anything else information wise from me at all

Just said you get At least one meal a day don't you as cannot cook myself

And have trouble eating through bad belle for years

I also am illergic to ibroprofen and paracetamol and in most pain killers so have trouble taking any pain relief

Felt like if anything I was going in reverse by trying to tell him more as he seemed he had allready made his mind up with in a couple mins

But I did send all the paper work form mentle health and the doctors letters and reports also letters from key wotkers etc that he had looked through before as when he looked at my paper work i brang he knew what to take and photo copy as he had looked at the other stuff previously

So am assuming he had read all about my condition before I went in

And they then sent a text the next day saying they had received report and had all the info they needed and would be in touch soon

      Fingers crossed

And also I took my friend and he waited in the waiting room as can't go out alone by myself due to my mentle health out side and ibs with stumach as bowls just open in seconds so mobility would really help as I just cannot afford a car and insurance and would help me so much with being able to get out more

Hi can anybody help me. I currently get pip & had a letter to complete renewal, completed form late & now recieved letter stating I am having a home assessment, I'm worried about this, why would I get home visit? I was only awarded my pip for 2years, I'm worried it will stop as I work aswell, I have to go to work as if I don't it makes my depression worse although my physical condition is bad & im in constant pain (bad hips & bad back) broken discs & arthritis, I have to position myself all the time I am stood one min & sat next, I spend my days in bed on my days off & don't go out & socialise & I only go out to attend work ,appointments etc. I am really anxious & really worried about this, I am also due to have another procedure on my back this month it's a long standing on going process. I need help with washing get dressed cooking cleaning majority of time. When my mood is really bad I will not move from bed & have had to be watched with my medication. Any help would be great, my visit is next week I only received letter day ago. I'm confused as to why they would come visit me when I have not requested visit & I attended a atos centre when first applied. Thanks
