I’ve decided to come off!

So after doing some reading on sertraline I’ve decided to at least lower my dose.  Currently at 85.5 for two days and 75 since August 19th and I just want to go back to 50 msg and then rethink the whole thing and maybe stay there for the 6 weeks or so and see how I feel/ I’m scared to stay on this mess now but it really has been helpful!

I’m hopeful that 50 msg will be helpful too.

I came off sertraline too last spring. I weened one week from 50 to 25 then 25 another week as recommended from my doctor. I was very nervous but I didnt have many side effects. I had some small anxiety moments and a little dizziness at times but nothing too bad. I too just wanted to get off of it after reading many negatives. Best of luck getting off of it.

Becky how long were you on it?  Did 50 msg help?

Hi Becky. May I ask what the negatives were? And why you were eager to get off? I’ve been on 25mg for about 6 weeks and it’s been helping me so far.

I was on it for one year. And it helped my anxiety. I was on 75 and went down to 50 in beginning because i did not want to take more than I needed. Yes I did just fine on 50.
