I've done another stupid thing

Part of my problem is chronic constipation - so I had a couple of colonic irrigations, last one last Wednesday, no bowel movement for 5 days so I was getting a bit desperate.

So anyway I just blundered into it - and now the scrotal burn and rectal irritation is a lot worse, presumably because the colonic irritated my obviously inflamed prostate.

Any reassuring comments out there?

    Take a tablespoon of psyllium in a glass of water (or half water, half juice to make it more palatable) once a day. Should relieve your constipation problems.

    Lee is spot on. Take psyllium (from the supermarket) or the chemist mixed with water.

    And drink loads of water.

    If you drink tea or coffee then raise the amount of water you drink.

    Keep off the alcohol.

    You should be Ok in a few days.

    There are cereals that have psyllium in them also. Kellogg's Bran Buds, and Nature's Path Smart Bran are two that I know of. I find them easier to use than psyllium in water. The cereals are good with a few scopes of plain yogurt, which will also help you get probiotics. Plain bran cereals can help also, as well as eating vegetables, as in salads.
