I've got the shakes

Posted , 6 users are following.

Hi Everyone,

I am suffering from the shakes in my hands and head, mainly in my eyes and they feel heavy. I am taking Spiriva, Fostair 200 and Ventolin. I have also been told to take one Prednisolone daily together with a Vit.D3 tablet and another capsule to prevent gastric problems. Does anyone else suffer from this please? I also feel rather tired.

Thanks, it would be lovely to hear from you.

Ventolin and prednisone have given me shakes before. The Vit. D3 becomes a steroid as broken down in our bodies (per food scientists i happen to know who could explain my reaction to D3 mega dose RX) and in high enough doses just this vitamin can cause shakes. Very few docs in the US are aware of what really happens with D3 in our bodies - or D2. There is a form of D3 that i can still take: Micellized D3, 3-5 drops in 4-6oz water.

You may be overmedicated. If it were me, i'd call a pharmacist & talk about taking all this stuff, and how/ when you take it.

You omitted a crucial bit of info: how old are you? Sad to say but if we live long enough, most of us will develop some shakes. I would still have a chat about all these similar meds even if i was 92.

    Deanne,

Your condition has me concerned. Ventolin has not caused me problems, additionally I use a nebulizer and take Mueslix as I feel the need (to relieve mucus problems). I have coughed up a lot of unwanted mucus in 1 to 2 hour sessions that were no fun, but I've never had the shakes.

I highly recommend that you consult with your health care professional as soon as you can. Carefully explain your current symptoms to them. Wright it down ahead of time if you feel that you may forget to tell everything. Honesty sometime needs a memory aid.

In addition, a poor diet can contribute to poor health. Fruits and vegetables are often not a large enough part of our daily diets. Eat an apple, have a green salad, choose to have the broccoli instead.

Caring about each other is what this site is all about, so I wish you well.

Thank you SO MUCH Judy, Caroline, aitarg and Larry for your quick responses. I really appreciate it. It sounds as if it could be any of the meds I'm taking so I'll take you advice and consult a professional. Bless you and thanks again.

Sorry That You Have The Shakes A Lot Of People Do When They Take Steiods But Usually After A Few Weeks The Shaking Will Go Away. Check With Your DR. On Why You Are Tired. Steriods Usually Make You Stay Awake In High Doses 20mg Or More. Hope You Get To Feeling Better Hang In There

Thank you so much Scott, I think you're right about the steroids, I seem to have settled down now dare I say it! I have also started having cereal for breakfast (Yuk) I have never eaten breakfast but it seems to be helping. It has taken three months for me to feel this good after my emergency dash to Resus, I just pray it won't happen again, it's all very scary. I wish you well, I really do, bless you.
