Hi sophie! smile Headaches and tiredness are common side effects with citalopram, however I would still mention this to your doctor if you are concerned and I usually get more severe headaches when I'm dehydrated, so probably best to drink plenty of fluids throughout the day and when taking your medication. Just an indea but have you tried taking them in the evening, instead of on a morning or afternoon, maybe this will help with the tiredness.

Hi Sophiel, are you getting any neurological side effects, eg light or sound sensitivity? Asking because thats what happened to me when I upped them to 30mg. Was also on amitryptyline so could have been them, as well. I will know for sure soon.

Yeah my ears go weird all the time popping sensation and my eyes hurt like pressure on them and some days the light hurts so bad but that’s easing off now! I’ve had some weird side effects like droplets of water are dropping on my head like cold spots then it goes, it’s all started to calm down now I’ve been on them 2 weeks now hoping to start feeling a bit normal soon smile

I can relate to everything you mentioned. I still get whooshing in my ears to, sounds like a windy day in my head. The pressure in my eyes has gone since dropping to 20mg. Plus I have ended up with Hemiplegic Migraines. Please let your doctor know, unfortunately though my migraines are rare so alot of doctors dont know much about them. I am not trying to scare you, just do not want anyone to go through what I went through and still going through, My main aim is to create awareness.

My symptoms which might not be anything to do with citalorapram were getting worse, I could barely function, people were commenting, i struggled to hold a conversation plus was given an urgent ct angiogram. My mum saw a possible link between meds and my worsening symptoms. Fast forward 6 months am 70% recovered. Am very sensitive to meds.
