I've had been suffering from menopausal symptoms for over 6 years

Hello ladies,
I am new to this chat group.
I'm so thankful to know, I am not alone during this horrible change of life!
My worst symptoms are: pressure in my ears and head, horrible light headed (as if my head was inside a half full of water balloon 🎈), anxiety, and panic attacks!
I also have a foggy brain. It's hard to concentrate and focus.
It seems this is the norm for me. I ask myself, "when would I be myself again?"
I'm also getting older so I guess I'm asking for the impossible:(
I don't even know if there is something I can take to help me. I don't want hormones; too scare to end up with cancer.

hello magdalena
welcome to the forum, iv been on here since 2013 and its been a life saver for me as doctors have no clue about peri and menopause, mine told me to cope and get on with it.
i feel exactly how you've described your symptoms and although its now not daily as it was its taken 10 years to reduce in days. i now have some days off but im always on red alert as it can come on at anytime. i suffer with headaches too and eye pressure as well as the ear pressure. i can feel off balance at some point every day which makes me anxious but im not as bad as i used to be or am i just coping better .
i never knew our diminishing hormones would bring about so many horrendous life changing symptoms for so long but hopefully one day this will be a distant memory.
i can't take HRT so i take vitamins like B2 , magnesium and Vit D and evening primrose oil, i really dont know if any of them work but i hope they help.
i do believe stress causes us worse symptoms so this year im trying to not get so stressed about the little things.
The ladies on this forum are all going through this in some form or another and we support each other just by posting support .
sending you a comforting hug, your not alone

I thank you so much for replying.
It is a life changing situation. I want to be myself again, but I don't think it will happen.
I also take vitamins. My primary doctor told me not to take hormones because the risk of getting cancer is pretty high.
I wish you the best, and to all the ladies that are part of this group forum.
Let's keep on fighting this battle and hope for a good outcome!
Best regards

with the new HRT the risks are very low as now you can get patches, gel, creams. Doctors are still stuck back in the 1950's when HRT was bad. Most of it is body identical as much safer now than before.
