Cortisone is an anti-inflammatory and will reduce the swelling and pain in your knee. It will feel great and should continue for 4 to 6 months in which time you'll probably be ready for another injection.

    Good Luck

My cortisone shot lasted four DAYS. After that, things went back to what they were BEFORE my shot. You may have a better result. I have found that results vary with the person.

My shots lasted anywhere from 2 to 5 months. The only immediate reaction I would have is a nasty headache the following day.

Good luck. Hope it works for you.

Hope this helps you!  I had two wonderful weeks and then the pain returned!  Different story with everyone I've talked to.

I've had ones that worked and ones that didn't.  The last lot, that didn't work, caused some flushing in my face for a couple of days.  Hope it works for you!

It  may be quite painful for a day or two. If the injection has worked this should improve.

I used to have these injections 2 or 3 times a year.

I used to react to the cortisone and it would be really painful for 2 or 3 days and then the pain would disappear.  The first ones used to work for about 3 months, the last ones a couple of weeks.
