I've even tried taking probiotic while taking the antibiotocs because my doctor recommended it , I've tried them all how i was supposed to but i still am suffering with bv coming back every month ! I feel so miserable! What should i do or have to do to get rid of this stuff ??

HI! First of all- Im so sorry. this stuff is the worst.

Ive had it for 6 years.

I know how to treat it- I don't know that there is a cure.

Boric Acid Vaginal suppositories- they have to be 600 MG insert them very night for 21 days- (if you experience and bleeding or super irritation stop using it but this resets your ph.

then you need probiotic suppositories- while your doing this run of treatment- no sex without a condom.

semen will change your PH. your menstral blood will too-  stop using tampons- the bacteria just sits in them-the hydrogen peroxide will wipe out the smell but it also kills all the good bacteria in your vagina and you'll have to start all over- cut down on your refined sugar intake. You need a probiotic everyday that you ingest- vitamin C

sleep without underwear- (when your not doing the boric acid, because it will come out) no tight leggings- it needs to breath cotton underwear only- wash super hot water-to kill bacteria  fragrance free everything- no scented soaps down there- if you insist on taking the gynos advice then do the metrodazonol then follow with boric acid suppositories for 14-21 days- I was told 14 days initially but now they are saying 21- they are just starting to figure this out themselves (the medical industry) If men had symptoms there would be a cure for  this by now- they say men don't have it but im suspicious they can carry the bacteria and then we just pass it back and forth- - don't let anyone tell you to put yogurt up there- it doesn't work. and its a gross mess. Ive actually really tried EVERYthing. garlic yogurt cleanses you name it. ive listed the only things ive found to work. Ive found relief from apple cider vinegar baths. once again- im so sorry. i know exactly how you feel. your not gross- so many women are suffering from this. keep your head up.

I also believe men pass this, this all started after getting out of a 5 year relationship. Then when I has sex with a new partner it started about 2 weeks after. Bad odor, It starts to smell even immediately after a shower. I dont use frangrant washes and use aveeno non scented body wash. I also sleep without underwear and have not had sex since the last new partner. It will not go away, its most noticeable in small spaces like elevators, cars and small rooms. Its truly horrible it is so embarrassing and stressful to deal with. Its ruined my life,  I cant go anywhere without worrying someone will smell me.... I have tried it all, nothing works.

After a 10year struggle, I finally got rid of my symptoms. There are four main things to do.1)eliminate triggers, 2)vastly reduce unnatural sugar intake, 3)take probiotics during recovery, 4)eat prebiotic foods twice a day.

Hey Katlyn! I have had bv for going in six years I know how you feel. It is absolutely horrible and takes a toll on you life, your relationships, and self esteem. I thought I was going to have to find a way to live my life with this because it never went away. I was online one day and found a product called Balance Complex. It’s on amazon. It’s 39.95. It had almost five star overall review and thousands of women are using it and it has helped cure their bv while they’re on it. This was also the case for me. This has kept my BV away for a year now! I have had a couple of episodes where it came back but one was due to taking penicillin so it flushed out all my good and bad bacteria. I would highly recomd giving this a try! It did take awhile for my symptoms to consistently stay away so be patient if you do end up trying it! For some women it clears them up in 2 days others a month. It just depends on your body because everyone’s is different. Also I eat yogurt everyday, workout, and healthy, only use pads, and per and clean right after sex, along with taking balance complex twice a day. It sounds like a lot but I would honestly do way more just to keep my symptoms away. Also I cut out smoking, and DONT drink coffee. They’re doing a lot of research and making new medicine for women with chronic bv by 2023 they’re going to come out with new stuff to cure this once and for all! You should read the articles online! This gives me hope that I won’t have to continue to take and buy probiotics everyday!

Having chronic everyday BV not only depletes your self-esteem, it depletes your wallet too. That's why I only took probiotics for 3 months until symptoms went away. I save money and have been symptom-free for 5 years by eating healthy unprocessed prebiotic foods and taking multivitamins. We have to eat every day anyway so why not eat healthier instead of buying it in a bottle and letting companies benefit from our misery.
