I've had red splotches appear on my skin for the past week, and they are continually spreading.

I first noticed on Tuesday of last week, which was March 16th. The red splotches started on my right upper thigh and spread to just under my stomach.

A second patch is also forming on my left thigh, and it has scaled the left side of my body and is on my left arm now.

The pictures I have attached are two angles of my upper thigh and my left arm respectively. The lighting on one of the upper thigh pictures is a little orange, so sorry for that. Would appreciate a quick response!

    Have you had any cold sores recently? Do you feel ill?It looks very much like a viral rash and may just disappear as mysteriously as it appeared but if you should start to feel at all unwell then it is essential you consult a doctor. Were you taking any sort of medication before this started?

      I do have a small lesion right above my lip, but it definitely looks and feels more like a pimple than it does anything else. I've also been in good health recently, with my only disturbance being a stomach pain about 3-4 weeks ago. I've been taking no medication at all this year. I will definitely report to my doctor if I do start to feel unwell, like you said.

      I asked about the cold sore as sometimes a reaction to the same virus can cause a rash like this. If you start to feel at all unwell or strange or just very itchy do see your doctor straightaway.
